These fundy atomists are delusional.

There is no such particle as an electron. Let's start from there.

The classic example of, 'entangled' particles, is a condition within an atom, that creates two photons, traveling in opposite directions.
The natural process creates photons that have opposite spin. It's not spooky, at all.
If they travel a light year apart, and you check one, then you know the spin of the other, a light year away.
That doesn't mean, 'information', is traveling faster than light. Naughty

In a related story, a group of scientists "nearly" won the powerball lottery.

They could have won, had one of them remembered to by a ticket.

exactly !

If they can entangle electrical circuits, then shouldn't we be able to build linked FTL communications devices?

Sort of like two-way radio? But only between the two specific radios entangled together?

Quote:Using two different methods, the teams managed to get two types of bespoke, unconnected, microscopically-sized oscillators – devices that generate periodically changing electrical current – to demonstrate quantum entanglement. The latter group used microwaves to force two aluminum oscillators into a single quantum state; the former used lasers to do the same to wibbly silicon segments.

For those understandably a bit lost at this point, here is a little primer as to what the phenomenon actually is.

Sometimes, two particles that are separated by a huge distance can act as if they’re a pair. Their behaviors mirror each other instantaneously, and despite having no clear physical connection, they behave as a single particle, or a single system.

It should be feasibly possible to engineer such a communications set up like that. Curious to know within the black world of developments if they do not already have such..

Not saying you're wrong, as I don't own an electron microscope or even know much about them... but would you care to elaborate?

This dude is on to something.

"The photon has no basis in reality." There is no such thing as travelling light.
