OP go to CMD and type ipconfig /all and see if it shows multiple Ethernet adapters.

Or go to device manager and see if their are tunnel adapters listed in your device tree.

If you are unfamiliar with what I said google/utube it for step by step info

lol Meant scan... I'm on phone now and not a pc... Not use to this small screen touchpad crap

I figured it was typo. :)

The irony is that the thread is about the possibility of the OP's PC being scammed. Gotta love irony.

Yeah chuckle

Windows computers get updated the 2nd tue of every month,& this month had a .net framework update.. this means 2 tune ups, 1 4 64 bit .net & 1 4 32 bit .net. each one will stress a core/thread out 2 tune itself up.. this is possibly your experience.. Anon

After close examination I have notice most of you here suffer from Trump Derangement Syndrome.
Its actually his supporters who suffer the most.
They are becoming deranged against perceived liberals threats when there are none.
This well surely affect not only your physical health but your mental health as well.
The trolls have notice and are pushing buttons constantly, this will only serve to further sicken you.
For your own mental well being I advise you to shut down your PC and get some rest.

It just gets so slow when I leave it unattended.

Firefox has half a dozen processes, over half are over 500,000K usage. a few over 1,000,000K.

it's just a few tabs with one or two videos.

i think someones up to something. wut?

They would likely be mining Ethereum or Monero

With browsers like Vivaldi, there is usually a process for each tab, one for each extension, one for the renderer, another for the JS engine, and another if you're using a custom UI. Firefox *still* suffers from the nasty memory leak issue despite their claims otherwise, you'll have to restart the browser to fix that. Disable any non critical extensions to speed things back up again.
