How high from sea level is this airport? The island is only three feet above sea level. It should be flooded at high tide.

For Florida is it the sinking limestone.

Bump

Fears that the Maldives and other Pacific atolls would sink beneath rising sea levels was debunked by studies that show THEY ARE ACTUALLY GROWING.

As a BS artist you suck, your linked articles do not state there is no sea level rise quite the opposite.

-------------------------
excerpt linked articles

Sea-level rise and climatic change threaten the existence of atoll nations. Inundation and erosion are expected to render islands uninhabitable over the next century, forcing human migration. Here we present analysis of shoreline change in all 101 islands in the Pacific atoll nation of Tuvalu. Using remotely sensed data, change is analysed over the past four decades, a period when local sea level has risen at twice the global average

Pacific atolls grow, and float, rather than sink as sea level advances.

-------------------------

To summarize, as far as the articles goes someone seems to think the Atolls are moored instead of solidly fixed to ocean floor and can float above any sea level increase. While Professor Snape wants you to make the mental leap that there is no sea level rise because some island is impervious to flooding even though the evidence he points to does't deny the sea is rising.

Don't let this guy blow smoke up your ass, unless you like it.

It's the Environment, stupid.

Yep it is happening just as it was predicted by science and research.

"Many cities will be flooded like london and Calcutta and so on and
these things will happen according to scientific theory within 40 years at the most maybe even quicker"

Sorry those predictions were wrong.

Well... no.

The first time in recorded history maybe.

One thousand years ago the ice didn't exist.

They were growing grain on areas of Greenland that are currently permafrost.

Just means we are getting closer to MWP temperatures (ie NORMAL temperatures).

Usual alarmist claims for warming.

Every time it has gotten cool in the past - humanity has entered a dark age.

The claims that warmth is bad are crazy.

f*#k off...we have lost 3/4 of ice volume since 1970 in the Arctic...delusion on bud. (sea ice)

More bad science.

Archimedes principle mean that we don't care about sea ice since it has no relationship to sea level.

Further: the only thing that matters to polar bears is springtime sea ice and that is always going to be 15 million km2 or more. In fact too much sea ice is bad for polar bears:
