RE: Illegal moonshine operation discovered in Alabama woods
Seems like illegal grow operations would be more the norm. I was looking at property in Alabama with Google Earth, and I'm pretty sure I found one, just from the aerial view.

Trailer/mobile home @ 34° 3'27.99"N 87°24'41.80"W
From there trail goes up and over the ridge ( 34° 3'31.23"N 87°24'42.13"W) to a garden plot by the creek @ 34° 3'33.71"N 87°24'45.66"W.

This would have been my neighbor if I had purchased the property.
Not that I particularly care, but...

I went to school at SIU in Southern Illinois in Carbondale in 1983. I planted herb all over Shawnee National Forest. Wonder if it grew?
