Progressive will f*#k you over. I had a collision with someone, they didn't even send an agent to look at it, they just declared it "had to be my fault". Went up the chain of command to the CEO, even had the courts determine was not my fault, they didn't do crap.

If your insured with prog...and someone abruptly slams on their brakes for no reason, and you slow down to avoid hitting them and hit ice, bump into there rear end at 8mph, your done.

I argued I had proper following distance, but the ice decided otherwise. Does no good, any rear-end, it's your fault with them, period. Even if someone backs up out of a driveway at high-speeds.

Nationwide sucks, I was insured with them for a short while and had a low rate, due to some "internal error", they priced my insurance at about $60 to low per month, and wanted me to make up the difference.

American family drags it's ass as long as possible on paying out claims, took me over a month, had to get the BBB involved. They also NEVER apologize for any mistakes they make.

I have Allstate for my extended warranty and so far they have been ok.

State Farm and Liberty Mutual are ok from people I know, but you pay out the arse for them.

I have Geico, and while it's not the "best", I think it is the best insurance for the money.

Didn't even get a Flo job? Lmao

Seriously though, the screwing is in the name.

Insurance is a racket.

It can be, and much of it is in the modern world.

There are however, many different forms of "insurance"!

RE: Best insurance company?
I’d like to second the whole ‘insurance is a bet’ sentiment. I was in a car accident YEARS ago, where a girl rammed the back of the car while stopped at a red light. The insurance company told me AND the doctor treating me I was approved for treatment, and then turned around after months of therapy saying they would t know the claim. I think it was State Farm, but this was like 12 or 13 years ago.

We have our home insurance through liberty mutual, and after our home was broken into, we had been given a check for $200 within 2 days (that we totally weren’t expecting), and even though we didn’t have documentation for most items, we were still cut a check for $18,000 within 2 weeks of submitting our claim. That policy has definitely paid for itself!

I think we have geico on the trucks, boat, and trailer...but we’ve never had to make a claim, so can’t say if they are any good or not. *knocks on wood*

RE: Best insurance company?
Liberty Mutual!

Oh wait, you said "Best".

Never mind, Liberty Mutual Sucks!

Hail damaged roof, LM replaced my roof, then upped my homeowners rate another $900.00, and my automobile rates to $400.00.

When asked if I was being punished for being a customer, the rep said, Yes!

That's ok. When it's time to renew this year, I will severely punish them for being ass holes. I will let them eat the $12,000.00 roof, essentially delivering them a massive loss when I fire and replace them.

At this time, I'm willing to pay another carrier more than I'm currently paying!

That's how much I hate these Bastards....

Do yourself a favor, ... DON'T waste your time with these people, if you're currently shopping around.

Prior to this claim, my last claim was with another carrier back in 1993 for a No-Fault automobile accident. It's not like I'm a high risk, or anything..
