Live Updates

"Health officials say the boys will likely to remain in a quarantine for seven days because of their weakened immune systems.

Authorities will likely look for signs of Histoplasmosis, also known as "cave disease." It's an infection caused by breathing in spores of a fungus often found in bird and bat droppings, according to the Mayo Clinic.

The first eight boys who were rescued on Sunday and Monday seem to be healthy..."

BTW

"Tesla founder Elon Musk has hit back after Thai authorities said they did not not need the mini-submarine he offered to help with the rescue attempt because it was "not practical".

Elon Musk Defends Mini Submarine Left Unused in Thai Cave Rescue

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/...ave-rescue

"Elon Musk’s efforts to aid in the rescue of 13 people trapped in a Thai cave were ultimately unneeded, but the billionaire is confident his “kid-size submarine” could be used at some point in the future.

The remaining boys and their soccer coach were saved from the Tham Luang Cave by divers and volunteers on Tuesday. Chiang Rai Governor Narongsak Osotthanakorn, one of the leaders of the rescue mission, said Musk’s equipment was “technologically sophisticated” but “not practical,” according to the BBC. “It doesn’t fit with our mission to go in the cave,” Osotthanakorn said.

Musk took umbrage at the comment and defended the project on Twitter. He said engineers from his rocket company, Space Exploration Technologies Corp., who built the submarine, said they were “absolutely certain” the underwater vehicle could complete the entire journey after discussions with divers and “extensive cave video review.” Musk posted an image of an email exchange with Richard Stanton, a British diver on site, who encouraged him to keep developing the capsule. Musk also disputed the BBC’s characterization of Osotthanakorn as a “rescue chief.”

I think it would works...
If Musk had come to the rescue before, like 5 days before, maybe they would have use it
when Musk arrives, they already had the plan running and showed that worked
so why risk and change the plan??
i think they did not want to risk the operation....
Anyway everything was succesful
Thanks God

RE: Mission accomplished: Twelve boys and coach freed from Thai caves ....
I don't understand why everyone is cheering. Or why the coach is regarded as a hero by the Thai people.

If a coach brought a bunch of kids into a cave in the USA, and there was a sign in front of the cave warning people not to enter during rainy season, and it was rainy season and they got flooded in, you know what we would do?

First, we wouldn't spent millions in a rescue effort to save a bunch of artards who deserve a Darwin award.

Secondly, if they did get out alive, the artard coach would go to court and answer for his crimes. You don't put children in harm's way like that.

Third, he would never be regarded as a hero. He would carry his justly deserved shame for the rest of his miserable life.

I still don't understand why this was a priority for all the world's billionaires, when on average 8 children die each day in the United States. But no one cares about them. They're first-worlders. First-worlders suck, and should go extinct.

How long before the terrible movie comes out?

"The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors. He who reads nothing will still learn the great facts, and the details are all false." ~Thomas Jefferson
