The problem is all their books are cooked so the price of that stock is severely distorted. If you buy with money, capital, not leverage, margin, and can afford the loss more power to you.

But most of their numbers are fudged, and they just sell bonds to buy back their own stock and reduce the number of stocks in circulation to raise the price. A lot of companies now just issue bonds to pay their stock holders dividends.

It's a big ponzi

And for the executives to sell THEIR stocks into, at a higher price. This is why the FED keeps rates low. Borrowing costs are cheap and so companies buy their own stock (Apple is also really bad for this https://www.nytimes.com/2018/05/01/techn...ngs.html), which makes the price go up, and the executives award themselves bonuses....including stock options, which they pay next to nothing for. Then they sell those at the current market price.

Want to know how Mark Zuckerberg is among the wealthiest in the world now?

Look here and see how often his name comes up under 'sell'

https://finviz.com/insidertrading.ashx

His name has been on here this routinely for MONTHS. He has cashed out hundreds of millions in stock at an inflated price.

Aha yes indeed, QE1-4 has been 1 gigantic golden parachute for wall street.

RE: the stock market...
I've had a lot of fun in the market.

My first attempt was I bought 5 penny stocks and one of them hatched and I pocketed a couple of grand and bought a stereo.

Then I tried commodities but they moved too fast.

My next and best trade was to buy gold before the big runup. I would look at my position every day and was tempted to sell it but then I forgot about it and next time I looked it had doubled which was nice because my entire account was in gold. Wish I could do that again.

Then I tried watching CNBC and trading on my cell phone. Never did anything but break even.

RE: the stock market...
A lot of old folks in this country are counting on their life savings in the stock market to make it possible for them to continue to eat and buy medicine in their old age. If the stock market goes down, there will be a lot of needy old folks ... and those old folks will be living off the tax payers. So you all had better hope the stock market stays steady.
