my parents are thinking about moving to a studio apt with just one bedroom. we would stay behind looking after this one. studios go for as little as $1500-1600 depending on which section of the city you want to live. the closer to the ocean, the higher the rent.
one of my cousins lives in small apt with wife and son and asked me.. "could 3 people actually live in a one bedroom apt"?

The magic words, you've just increased your rent by around 50% over what a comparable unit would rent for elsewhere. Location, location, location.chuckle

Studio apartments don't have bedrooms. A one bedroom is a one bedroom. Dumbass

Not so, I'm in a 4 bedroom house in a small town very near a national park, $525/month water gas and upkeep included. Granted it's older but it's very sound (far more so than newer homes) and well kept with lots of yard and fruit trees front & back.

If you want to live in the exact same places that the huddled masses lust after expect to pay a premium- landlords can only charge what people can/will pay and an empty rental is a liabilty.

The retard hipsters in NYC line up around the block to pay $5000 a month for a tiny apartment they have to share.

Find a nice house that's for sale and move in.

It takes months in most places to legally evict you.

How does creating problems for a homeowner trying to sell a home equate to f*cking the system? Sounds like you'd just be f*cking your fellow countrymen.

Use the hot bunk like they do in navy submarines; The bunk is hot 24/7. A sleeper always in it.
