This is very interesting. I noticed that asparagus is "antidiabetic" but they don't know why? Well I know why. Things like onions, asparagus, artichoke. All contain oligosaccharide, guess what it does?

oligosaccharide disables LECTINS!!!

I was reading that lectins get through the gut walls and cause immune system to react. And go to major organs like the pancreas. I personally have rheumatoid arthritis and my doctor told me it was an immune response. I also have diabetes.

Grains, beans, tomatos, potatoes, eggplant all contain large amount of lectins. Which means that people who have celiacs disease are probably having a reaction to lectins. If the immune system attacks bodily parts it kills them. Peanuts as well.

You know how people have peanut allergies, this may be the cause.

So basically anything made from grains beans tomatoes potatoes eggplant peanuts Etc may be causing damage to your body. They all are night-shade's!

This part is incorrect:
"So basically anything made from grains beans tomatoes potatoes eggplant peanuts Etc may be causing damage to your body. They all are night-shade's!"

Nightshade family would be potatoes, tomatoes, eggplants and peppers.

Beans are not in the nightshade family at all. Nor are peanuts nor grains.

Yes but are super high in lectins, as they are plants.

Legumes (including beans, soybeans and peanuts) and grains contain the most lectins, followed by dairy, seafood and plants in the nightshade family.

Their function in plants is not clear, but they may have evolved as a survival mechanism.

One of the most important direct defense responses in plants against the attack by phytophagous insects is the production of insecticidal peptides or proteins. One particular class of entomotoxic proteins present in many plant species is the group of carbohydrate-binding proteins or lectins.

The auto immune response is what triggers diabetes; it first showed up in my medical tests just prior to the high blood sugars taking over in me, mate.

Cannabis has effects on several anti cancer neural pathways, normalizing them

That's how cannabis works on cancer.

Also Lectins are neutralized by pressure cookers.

Remember the Boston bombing pressure cooker thing. And how they want to ban pressure cookers?

I think someone knows about Lectins.

I wonder if plants can be modified to have even more lectins?

Like GMO corn and beans????

Modify the DNA to inject high specificity for foreign glycoconjugates, glycolectins, are they possible? and what would happen...GMO?

Asparagus is also dangerous for some people who are prone to cancer.

Moderation and balance, same as it ever was.

Asparagus does nothing to cancer. Since lectins kill cancer cells and asparagus neutralizes lectins, there is your answer.

However if it kills cancer, it then kills normal cells. Ricin for example is a lectin.
