I did my good deed for today. A customer in front of me was $4.57 short trying to buy her groceries. I gave her a 5 dollar bill and paid her remaining balance.

Strange thing is the person behind me got pissed at me for helping her out! The person behind me asked me why the hell did I do that for? I told them she needed help, so I helped her out.
And they told me that I shouldn't do that and said if they can't afford it, that is their problem, not my problem, and I told them, sometimes its good to help people out every now and then and they should try it some time.

Goodpost1 .

I do that sometimes too....

I was sitting at the counter at Bob Evans chatting up an old Veteran, he got up to leave and said damn I forgot my wallet. I said no worries I'll get that for you, thanks for your service.

After he left one of the waitresses told me he pulls the same thing as many times a week as he can. Scream1

Can I share a story. Back in 1987 I went to Kathmandu, Nepal on a big trip. It was still awesome back then, very primitive and steeped in traditions. While wandering through the old, narrow streets, I encountered a little girl, maybe six years old. She was the only other person around at that moment and I didn’t hesitate. I pulled a fat coin out of my purse and gave it to her. I am a woman so hopefully it wasnt scary for her, I wasnt asking for anything in return. You should have seen the smile that lit up that beautiful little face! Everyone is dirt poor there... I watched her run home and then caught a glimpse f another smiling face in a dark doorway. It was an old woman who had seen what I did and was shining her approval at me.

There were so many people in need there. In crowded streets f you gave a coin to a kid, twenty more would beg you for one. I had one little guy (maybe 8 or 9) who saw me sketching, decide he wanted to be my assistant. He carried my stuff around and watched me sketch. You can share other things than money, too.

During the thanksgiving holidays, if I see someone behind me driving a 20-30 year old car, I pay for their meal in the drive-thru. They probably need all the help they can get.

i drive a 97 monte carlo le v6 it has 487,000 miles on it and i make about 45 grand a year which is above average here, i leave my mustang in the garage and my pickup i drive in winter, the seats are comfy in my monte .

Nice Cyber Dan. Great deed.

I was eating dinner at an Applebee's I frequent, and I am friends with some of the staff there. Once, I had gotten a really nice bonus from work, and I told two of the waitresses that on this particular night, I wanted to pay for dinner for four tables total, two for each waitress. I told the waitress to pick a party they felt was deserving, and I would pay for their meals, and the tip. The only stipulation was, the customer could not know in advance, and if they asked who paid, it was to be from an anonymous customer.

Well you could see the delight in the waitress's eyes, and both of them picked out wonderful patrons. One table was a mom with three fussy kids, and you could see she was having a rough day, one table was an elderly couple who said they were celebrating their anniversary, one was a young couple who the waitress overheard talking about what they might be able to afford on the menu, and the last table was a disabled girl in a wheelchair with her parents. It made my heart warm to do a nice deed for those people and I only wish I could do more.
