I am a woman.

I have heard so many men on the internet talking about "soy boys" and how they're low in testosterone. As though that's something that women are looking for in men...I bet that's not even in the top five things women are looking for in a man.

Should most people know how to change a tire? Sure.
But that's not necessary. You can hire someone for that.

Do you need to have a six pack abs, bulging muscles and be ripped from head to toe? I don't think so. And I personally know quite a few men that work out that either lack something inside or downstairs.

Testosterone makes people (Inc women) violent, sex crazed and animalistic. There's nothing wrong with a man that is maybe more feminine in nature. For example, a poet, a writer, an artist, a nurse, he can be more in tune with his emotions. Maybe involved with the kids more.

I think many men these days are losing their grip on their identity. I know plenty of women that are into skinny dudes, with longish hair and/or beards, that like the hipster look. Trust me, if you're cute women don't care if you're a "soy boy." I, myself, PREFER what they call "soy boy." I can't be with a violent, aggressive, fragile masculinity man. My father was that type of guy and I'm completely turned off by it. I prefer an intellectual guy with his head in books, not getting dirty at work.

Just my opinion.

I also think this goes hand in hand with the rise of trans, lgbt, gay, etc and maybe they don't want to be seen as that ?

Hey, if you're gay, you're gay.
If you're not, you're not.

Only other men are checking for other men's masculinity or gayness. That's the ironic thing.

Maybe some do but not all.

That's literally not even a requirement for me.

I'm so offended that I am going to go on a spending binge and get a flashy new wardrobe and lots of cute stuff while I am shopping just to prove you wrong.
(Nice passive attempt to identify with alphas, you almost had us laughing, but not so much)

I feel my machismo is being threatened.

But not really because women don't know WHAT they want.

Wtf does that even mean?

Does it bother you some women prefer the "soy boys" you hate so much?

Why does another man's masculinity or femininity bother you so much?

Crucify me for liking a man with bigger brains than muscles. And for not liking men that obsessed with their testosterone levels and the t levels of other dudes. That sounds pretty gay to me.

RE: Masculinity is a triggering concept to men
Masculinity more of a mental thing than physical. Some of the most masculine men I've met were not physically impressive by any means.

Also, in my experience, women don't know what they actually look for in, or refuse to be truthful about it.

Well I do know I don't want someone that's aggressive, violent, obsessed with estrogen and testosterone, and always bragging about how masculine they are because they know how to change a tire or they get dirty at work

Behold the hippopotamus!
We laugh at how he looks to us,
And yet in moments dank and grim,
I wonder how we look to him.

Peace, peace, thou hippopotamus!
We really look all right to us,
As you no doubt delight the eye
Of other hippopotami.
