Make sure your mom makes claims with her insurance company and don't forget to make a claim with FEMA.
Getting on these claim lists in a timely manner is key right now.
Florence stalled and caused massive fresh water flooding.
People lost everything to flood waters.
This was not a normal hurricane because the extreme flood damage is so widespread.

Also take as many photos to document flooding damage and keep photos on file.
Paperwork is key so after you file the claims with homeowners insurance companies and FEMA, keep records of claim numbers.
