If you ever took more than one selfie in your life, You would be a type of narcissist .

Trump faced his fears of losing, unlike many of us, whether we will admit it or not.
Trump climbed up, never stopped, never looked back, unlike many of us, whether we will admit it or not.
Trump was the underdog, and stared "certain loss" in the face, and pressed on harder, unlike many of us who would have given up, whether we will admit that or not.

He is in a global position now, all eyes are on him. He stares down an issue and tackles it best he can, with the other side fighting him every step of the way. How many of us would have thrown in the towel, whether we would admit it or not?

Bottom line... Trump has to much on this to fail. Granted, certain people seemingly promised to tank the economy so it looks like he failed.

HE NEEDS TO ACHIEVE PERFECTION FOR HIMSELF, WHICH IN HIS CURRENT POSITION, WOULD BE FOR THE COUNTRY.

Rooted in ‘Profound Fear of Failure’

Why Do Some Narcissists Need to Be So Perfect?
A need for perfection drives those high in narcissism, according to new research
https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/...so-perfect

1. Self-oriented perfectionism: “When I am working on something, I cannot relax until it’s perfect.”
2. Other-oriented perfectionism: “If I ask someone to do something, I expect it to be done flawlessly.”
3. Socially-prescribed perfectionism: “People expect nothing less than perfection from me.”
4. Perfectionistic self-presentation (3 different types): “I always try to present a picture of perfection"; “Admitting failure to others is the worst thing to do"; “It would be awful if I made a fool of myself to others.”
5. Perfectionistic cognitions (thoughts): “I should be perfect.”

A number of social psychological and personalityfocused studies related to narcissistic functioning further indicate that fear and fear avoidance, especially of failure, are important motivating factors, a “self -regulatory strategy driven by specific achievement motives, namely, fear of failure” (p 11).40 Those strategies involve achievement, competitiveness, improvement of performance, and perfectionism.40-42 Similarly, fear of failure and accompanying shame can motivate procrastination or avoidance of commitment and performance.43,44 On the other hand, fear management can also involve selfenhancing risk-taking and impulsivity.24,45 Defensive behavior in response to exposure to failure and accompanying fear of failure is considered to be deeply ingrained, with automatic efforts to avoid failure. In general, these studies indicate that people who are afraid of failing can be motivated or even susceptible to either invest greater efforts in a task after being exposed to failure information, or to completely avoid such efforts. Fear related to self-esteem regulation and risk of falling short can underlie and motivate a range of behavior in narcissistic personality disorder. High achievements can be motivated by fear of incompetence and failure; selfenhancement by fear of worthlessness and inferiority; perfectionism by fear of shame and self-criticism; pursuit of special affiliations by fear of losing status or influence; interpersonal ignorance and distancing by fear of humiliation, or being overpowered and lose control; and avoidance by fear of shame and exposure. These studies and observations raise several questions about the interaction between identifying, processing, and controlling fear from the perspective of narcissistic self-regulation. So far, studies have shown that people with high narcissism but not meeting criteria for NPD present with higher degree of alexithymia, ie, difficulties assessing own and other's emotions.46 However, it is possible that by exploring neuroscientific evidence in narcissism and related pathologies, researchers and clinicians may begin to clarify and differentiate specific fear susceptibility and fear processing in people with NPD.

Think North Korea

Combined with charm, many narcissists also have a way with words. They are often adept at convincing others to do things their way, or give them the resources they need. Higher functioning narcissists, in particular, may advance to certain positions in life because of their ability to influence. As with charm and charisma, there’s nothing inherently wrong with being a persuasive individual, as long as it’s done in a positive, constructive, and conscientious manner. Persuasion is social influencing, which most people engage in.

Think the economy and bringing jobs back

“Rules are meant to be broken” is a mantra for many narcissists, who are fond of testing and breaking boundaries almost wherever they go. There are times when rule breaking is actually a positive, especially in scenarios where old practices are no longer effective, or hold back progress. In this way, rule breaking in certain situations may encourage new and better ways of doing things, and provide a fresh perspective.

Think Trump wanting to go down in history as "Best President Ever".

Some narcissists have much to prove (to themselves and others), and may go out of their way to overachieve. They gravitate toward careers and endeavors which provide a sense of power, prestige, recognition, and/or material success. While non-narcissistic achievers typically accomplish through talent, skill, and hard work, and are driven by a standard of substantive excellence, narcissistic overachievers are driven by the desire to be “superior,” “one of a kind,” and “admirable.” They desperately want to feel a sense of self-importance, so they can be “above others.” Arguably, perhaps the best thing about narcissistic overachieving is that it’s better than underachieving, at least in certain situations. Some higher functioning narcissists do produce results and “climb to the top,” though often in a conceited and haughty manner, and at the expense of using others.

The Downside: Narcissistic overachieving elicits some of the worst traits of narcissism, including grandiosity, egocentricity, conceit, false superiority, condescension, snobbishness, and contempt. By applying the schema of “achievements” as an exterior to escape one’s internal inadequacy, overachieving narcissists use titles, status, wealth, material possessions, enviable life style, and/or exclusive memberships to represent who they are. The narcissists’ identity becomes infused with, and inseparable from the superficial outer-ego, at the significant expense of neglecting their psychologically injured inner-self. Many narcissists believe that if they’re not “special,” they’re nobodies (unlovable). They’re incapable of being “simply human.”

Now, for all the negative comments from people who don't understand what is going on, and will prove it to the rest of us.
I completely understand the bad side many of you will focus on as you cannot begin to see the bigger picture.
Brash, Boisterous, Obnoxious, Rude... Those will be some of the words used.

How many of you could walk a mile in his shoes with the constant barrage of insults hurled?
If you say you could, would you provide some proof (More than just words on a screen) of YOUR achievements in life?

Nope. Still the same.
I guess you REALLY understood the topic, as you are diverting away from it to me.

unfortunately I am just not intelligent enough to contribute to this thread, but I felt the need to say, "Hi! I'm a low IQ person, and I'm OK with it".

Bye, guys.
