Conspiracy Induced Obsession
Advertisement
I just invented a new DSM 5 diagnosis I think.

When I was relatively new to the conspiracy scene, and i am not even sure which prophecy triggered it , I got obsessed with mount. St. Helens blowing it's lid off.. I had proggies running to record screenshots from volcano webcams and all.

Anyone here have similar experiences?

:P

And I freaked out for a good amount of time :P

RE: Conspiracy Induced Obsession
Yeah, UFO's. Not worrying about them erupting or anything like that, just UFO obsession for a few years.

Similar thing happens in the churches to young people who get into it in their teens. They get all God and Christian obsessive for a few years and then it burns out.

Their passion burns at a higher rate than their ability to rationalize or out logic it.

Once again we see emotions tied to illogical behavior patterns. Once those strong emotions subside so does the obsession.

I can see why some psychs try and drug the devil of out them. Given them something which will kill the emotion. I guess some people are beyond reasonable when in that mental mode.
