The Science of Meditation – can it really change you?

From infamous criminals, to powerful corporations, to some of the world’s most successful athletes, meditation has never been so popular. But can it really make you smarter, happier and healthier? New research shows that it can affect the body as well as the mind, slow down the aging process, and even alter the structure of the brain. Dr Graham Phillips embarks on an eight week meditation course and undergoes a raft of rigorous brain tests and scans, to find out if the ancient art lives up to the current hype.

I have been and still am a seeker, but I have ceased to question stars and books. I have begun to listen to the teachings my blood whispers to me: Hermann Hesse

If there be magic, let it be an art.

If he's at a retreat for 8 weeks, one could also say that the lack of stress could also help boost any results he attained.

It definitely slows down stress hormones! :)

So, in return that could make you appear younger. Especially aided with proper breathing techniques...getting the correct amount of oxygen throughout one's body is healthy!

I cant find the test that was performed this year, but that's what it indicated, peoples biological age was wound back in their brain and in their body when measured long term. The imaging on the monks brains indicated they must be unmedicated schizophrenics which the monks thought was kind of giggle worthy.

In good Jedi fashion, it would appear we should all "use the force"
