Firefox changed my search engine to Bing, which gives very weak sauce
ineffectual results on most of what I search for.

How do I get it back to Google?

When I go into 'Preferences' it's set to use Google as default search engine, still
it will not shift back to Google search, or any other search engine.

Even if I go to 'Google.com' and search, it's a Bing Search.

Help!!!

Pleases and thank you's.

Hi OP,

Try (either resetting firefox or) redownloading firefox which should again let you delete unneeded search engines.

Did you solve your problem?

I did, Natura. I found behind Firefox, when I closed it, there was what appeared to be a message to be sent in an email program I never use, and don't believe it's on my computer.

It had a bunch of code in it. I removed it and everything cleared up.

I've shifted to Duck duck go, which is a better search engine.

I thank you and I thank everyone for their help.

Have a beautiful day. May all your fondest dreams come true.
