That's the case I chose. The image is misleading and the glass is clear and no lights standard with the case. Got a 2 pack of Corsair fans that have purple LED's for the front. A purple light bar to illuminate the inside too like the picture indicates. But now for the fun stuff.

Selected the SkyLake 3.5 GHz i5-6600 for her needs. Asus Z170-PRO motherboard. WD Black 1TB drive. I can harvest the RAM sticks from her old PC as they are going to suit as they were upgraded previously with the intention of meeting this rig. Need to finish picking out a video card but I am still on the fence whether I want to get the GTX 1050 or be nice and do the 1060. Today I ordered the case, fans, lights, cpu, board and hard drive.

A good start.

I hate you.....chuckle

Don't worry my wife will to until she logs into Steam for the first time. I have to finish it by the start of February for her Bday.

I have plans for the case to give it a little more character but it is hard finding a case that is marketed for a woman that isn't expensive as f*#k. I was browsing all pretend like and pulled it up asking her what she thought. She liked it.

It's a long time coming for her. She's working on a Pentium dual core that somehow manages a 64 bit OS but only hardly. I've been neglecting it for the same reasons your upgrades are only a thought.

Windows, she's not going to want Linux. I keep a dual partition on my PC for various reasons but she has no use for it. I find that for the money the WD black drive delivers all the performance I need compared to SSD. She won't require it. When the technology reduces in price and they stop the bs marketing of technology that shouldn't cost nearly what it retails for.

I've seen enough issues with AMD over my years that I will never look back. Intel has the reliability I prefer from what I personally have experienced. Worth the extra.

Just because something looks cool and is well marketed doesn't make it worth it.

^That's the exact drive I always use in my builds compared to SSD.
