Oh the DRAMA, I think we now need some NEW DRAMA words for SNOW!

Tissue

The curve ball are the deaths. People unprepared. What the heck is a snow tire?
You want to see unprepared people and snow? Come to England, seriously. It's freaking mental. Half a centemetre is all it takes to f*ck sh*t up beyond fixing. The general population have no clue how to drive in snow, or should I say slush. Even back when I first learnt to drive, I had a beat up old Nova. I came to a roundabout on my way home from work, it's ever so slightly on the teeny tiniest incline you could imagine, just enough to let the rain run away, but this 20 squillion pound high end sports car was well and truly stuck in it. as were many others, there were cars abandoned, pushed to the verge and left. He was revving the sh*t out of it, and wondering why he wasn't getting anywhere. I pootled round him using the clutch only, laughing all the way, in my 200 quid car. I'd be driving only a few months, he was a guy in his 50s.

So much stupid, you don't even have to prepare really in this country, maybe a shovel in the car or some hessian sacks or something, a blanket and that's about it. But EVERY time we get a bit of snow, people freak out like it's never happened before. It makes me feel so stabby.

They call it dragon snow in the East....
Snow storms that make everyone's hair stand on end with static electricity.

Season instability causes people to be more susceptible to health issues...

world out of balance

we had thunder and lightning snow storm here last night .... manitoulin island, north ontario.
temperature rose above 0 and winds reached 90 km .... back to winter today.

Weather all over Ontario has been whacky for days.
Yesterday we had a dumping of ~15cm of snow, then a downpour - talk about deep slush for the commute home after work.

Have also witnessed thunder during a snow storm... Honestly one of the strangest weather phenomenons I've ever seen. Was actually kind of creepy/spooky.

I remember thundersnows when my family lived in New Hampshire.

Today I wore a tank top, shorts and sandals and watered my yard and garden in 75 degree Texas weather.

I do miss a good snow though.

There are advantages to cold conditions. Makes one humble by it's beauty and danger. The bugs hate it and I love it. Say good night bloodsuckers. Good topic for a thread... Conditions the ground moister content. Good business for salt and snow shovel companies. Snowball fights and snow forts. The kids go crazy.

Had to quit work early tonight cause it got too windy. It was supposed to get warmer today, next week is at near melting point, I'm looking forward to that. I hope it is true. Please oh mighty gods of weather!
