Sipping the Lukwah Estate STGFFOP1 Assam now...

Smooth, Malty, somewhat light but I didn't let it steep all that long.
Not acidic at all.

from the site: The dry leaf of this tea has an attractive, tippy appearance, and yields a deep, burgundy-red liquor. The tea has a pleasant pungency, which is balanced by a rich, smooth and layered cup with sweet notes of malt and blackcurrants.

Blackcurrants? Perhaps. I can see where they would say that.

nice hobby you got there. you sound like a seasoned wine taster specialist.

chuckle

i usually just have some rooibos with a small amount of sugar, or green tea with a little honey. bag tea.

we have a tea shop in town, but i´ve never visited. yet.

Okay, today I'm drinking the free sample I was sent... a Ceylon Extra Special... nice straight up tea with a slight floral aroma and taste, but to tell the truth, not too different from Twinnings Ceylon in bags. Maybe less acidic but tastes about the same.

It's giving me a buzz.

Saving the White tea for last.

Harney.com has this thing called "Allnighter" It's Guayusa and Yerba Mate. This is not just a caffeine buzz. It's a lot, lot more. For a non-alcohol drinker and no drugs person such as myself, this is a radical buzz. It's the Guayusa (smells like zucchini) because I've drank very, very strong Yerba Mate for years. Like a 12 hour alteration of reality from 5 tablespoons in 1 QT of rapid boiling water, left in for 30 minutes then metal screen filtered.

I can hardly wait for the morning. I'm in trouble now.

I've used the Yogi teas many times, as herbal medicine when needed. They are high quality.

I remember in the 70's my friends owned a health food store and they carried something called Mu Tea... a mix of sliced roots and bark that you simmered in a non metal pot for 20 min.

Really good tasting.

I'm still making my way through the samples of black and white teas I recently picked up, will report as I uncrack each one...

Lately I've been drinking a lot of herbal teas cold brewed... I just throw a bag or two of Celestial Seasonings into a large solo cup and fill with Berkey filtered water and let it sit for a while... reuse and get 3 refills out of it.

Sleepytime Mint and Tension Tamer only because the box is open, but I've got a few Zinger varieties waiting for me.

Someone mentioned they were ordering Lemon Zinger....did you like it?
