Except for healing uses I am totally against the use of cannabis

Recreational use of marijuana is misusing a medicine

Denying this world isn't just one big fester sore that needs medicine, is bullshit.

I'm cool with that, as long as you respect my beliefs to the contrary.

I think you should be forced to use cannabis recreationally. See how this works? Don't force other people to do anything or not do anything.

RE: Pot Smokers are More Likely To Suffer Heart Attack
back when i smoked heavily i had several occasions where i thought i was going to have a heart attack . partly i attribute that to anxiety and paranoia of being very high but there is likely something else going on there too. smoking has always increased my heart rate at the minimum.

Quote:The researchers from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, unearthed the link after comparing the health records of 210,000 cannabis smokers with ten million non-users.

They noted that users tended to have higher blood pressure than non-users and were more likely to drink heavily, smoke tobacco and have type 2 diabetes – all of which raise the chance of a heart attack.

This is the Big One!

Cannabis users 'are four times more likely to suffer a heart attack': Scientists say users suffer more cardiac-related illness than those who do not smoke the drug

• Users in their late 20s were three times more likely to have a cardiac illness
• Most concerns over cannabis use are associated with mental health disorders
• Researchers in Ohio said users are tend to have higher blood pressures

18 March 2017
Smoking cannabis dramatically increases a person’s risk of suffering a heart attack, according to a major new study. Researchers in the United States found that, over a five-year period, regular users in their early 30s were 4.6 times more likely to have a cardiac-related illness than those who did not smoke the drug.

Utter B.S.

My BP dropped significantly as a result of medicinal cannabis use.

I was borderline now I'm good.

This is another pure load of crap.

Naturally, in 10,000 years with countless millions spent on research no one ever noticed this massive correlation before?

NO, this is pure B.S and these criminals should be jailed for diseminating obvious, blatant lies not supported by years of dedicated research into harms or benefits.

NONE of the studies, even the seriously flawed ones which gave intentionally negative results ever came up with this data.

PURE B.S.

There are a lot lazy unhealthy people out there doing weed. That doesn't mean weed is the issue. But you know, some people want to believe what they want to believe regardless, and without any qualification to say anything one way or the other. I.E. those that haven't smoked weed for a while in their lives have really no say in this matter.

Daily mail...lulz.

And yes, any type of smoking increases the effect of heart attacks because of the decrease in oxygen in the body an more CO2.

That sounds bogus. People living in higher altitudes don't get cancer because of lower oxygen levels.

Smoking coats the lung tissue with tars. That is not good. That is not healthy. That's when body tissue and cells can go rogue and/die.

I think running 7 miles or rollerblading 21 miles a day greatly reverses that harm we do ourselves. When I smoked I was also exercising a lot. At 40 and smoking, I was in a LOT better shape than a 20 year old. In a 45 mile race on inline skates, I came in around 18th with almost 600 others behind me ..AND I stopped for a beer along the way, lol. I crossed the finish line with a cigarette in my mouth and an empty beer can in the other. You should have seen the look on people's faces, lol.

That is bogus, the medical explanation for carcinogens in smoking and cooked red meat is polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.
Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons happen when organic compounds are cooked or burnt.
Smoking, grilling red meat, smoking marijuana, roasting vegetables all has the same basic effect.
The same people who fight for legalized marijuana are fighting to ban smoking.
I am going to make a prediction right here, right now.
I foresee a future where it is legal to consume marijuana, nicotine and foods only when they are processed in a proprietary patented fashion.
This must be allowed to happen when public health and safety are in the law books as more important than freedoms.
This will be played off as life being more important than liberty or the pursuit of happiness.
It is the only path when a society fights for one freedom while fighting to end another that is almost identical.(weed vs tobacco)
The U.S. is now aligned for a fight of left vs right and when these topics slip in people will cheer for them as victories against tyranny and big corporations, but the corporations will laugh all the way to the bank.

Burn any plant and look at the tar from the smoke it always contains polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.
I agree with you, but if polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons don't cause issues when generated by marijuana they wont when generated by tobacco or red meat either.

Yes, these researchers wouldn't touch it if the trade-off was death by heart attack.

Countless, very ill and terminal people with severely compromised immune systems, chemo-therapy damaged organs, including hearts, use this substance and can tolerate no other.

This claim has no merit, no basis in fact. How can any organization make such blatantly false statements?
