Edina is a wealthy suburb in the second ring surrounding MSP. Not surprising, given the wealth of most of its residents.

Muh, Edina is old money and lots of elderly. Now, Minnetonka Lakes area is where you want to be. Trust me. chuckle

Anyone can go into their bank and prohibit wire transfers on their account. You can also set up a secret password which you need to do a wire transfer. My bank wont even do a wire transfer unless you come in and sign something to authorize a wire transfers over the phone, and they'll want a password. And they also ask a few questions too, derived from your list of transactions, like where did you use your bank card last, or where do you usually put on gas, etc. And it's a good idea to keep 2 accounts, one where you keep a lot of cash, and the other you use for shopping and paying bills. Then you can just put what you need in that more vulnerable account. And you can set you account up so you're notified of every transaction. I get a text of everying I do, even when they post interest to my account, even when I sign into the account.

If judges always had this much power they should be shot for not using it before now?

They had to wait until they resettled the new populations of the sanctuary cities.

..

Switch banks if yours is so vulnerable. I'm pretty satisfied with my banks procedures. And I can turn some things on/off from their banking app too, like I can set my debit card to disable and re-enable it before I use it. I'll know within 30 seconds if anyone tries to use it. I have one account I use for wire transfers. I need it when traveling. I might want to buy something while away, like the time I bought an RV. I didnt want to fly home just to get a check for a couple hundred grand. I simply transferred the funds into the account I have authorized for wire transfers using their app and then call the bank to initiate the wire. They then ask me a bunch of questions only I would know the answer to, including my password, which I change after each use. They even call me back at my registered phone and email me too. I'm not worried.

Deephaven, Wayzata, Orono...there is still $ in Edina. It's just their weekday home so they don't have to commute as far. MSP is great, except for the snow.

RE: Minnesota judge grants warrant for a whole town's search history
Recently a retired neighbor of mine got RFID Pick Pocketed!
He is the kind of guy that has 10 or 15 credit cards!
BUT HE ONLY Carries 4 in his wallet at a time!

And he has all the alerts set with the credit card companies!
You Can Click a BOX that Says (ALERT If Card Not Present)
All 4 Of the Credit card companies of the cards he had in his wallet contacted him about the Attempted online perches! BECAUSE It was only the cards he had in his wallet, it had to be ELECTRONIC RFID Pick Pocket! The Day After the Attempted Card FRAUD, His Facebook was hacked from Southern California location! He is in Texas!

The FACE BOOK Hack was the Credit card thieves attempting to get his picture.

You don't think searching for a specific name is rather specific? They're not looking at the entire towns internet search history they're searching for a specific piece of information.

They are searching everyone in a given area, which makes that a general writ and is precisely why the Fourth Amendment was written.

http://www.nhinet.org/ccs/docs/writs.htm
The "Writs of Assistance" were general warrants allowing officials to search for smuggled material within any suspected premises. James Otis was Advocate-General when the legality of these warrents was attacked, but promptly resigned his office when called upon to defend that legality. The Boston merchants then retained him as their counsel to oppose the writs before the Superior Court of Massachusetts. Otis refused the fee they offered, saying that in such a cause he despised all fees. In a five-hour speech, which was witnessed by a young John Adams, Otis argued that the writs were unconstitutional. He based his case on the rights guaranteed in English common law.

http://www.sparknotes.com/history/americ...ion3.rhtml
Writs of assistance were documents which served as a general search warrant, allowing customs officials to enter any ship or building that they suspected for any reason might hold smuggled goods.

This one right here, pay attention!
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/07/04...47302.html
Writs of assistance were a type of general warrant issued specifically to inspect for smuggled goods.

Large general area for a specific item = general writ.
*Extra points if that writ doesn't expire.

Amendment IV
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Both the place and object of the search need to be particularly (specifically) described. You can't describe one or the other. You have to describe both.
