About the "successful people wear the same clothes every day" fake news story.
The MSM runs this fake news every now and then, about how successful people wear the same clothes every day, like they have a uniform. I just saw it on Yahoo's (Israel's) front page, although it's an old story, having been rehashed a hundred different ways over the years.

The story is often accompanied by a picture of Mark Zuckerberg, who wears jeans and a tee shirt every day; although that's not because he's successful, it's because he's a slob.

Hey, want to know who else wore the same thing to work every day? Stalin, Mao, and Hitler. Understand, this story is promoting the Cult of Personality and Communism.

How often do you change your sheets, OP?

It's the same thing. If articles of clothing are not dirty, do not smell, why not.

Changing your underwear is what matters.

Peopke who wear the same thing for a few days are not slobs.

Personal branding is what that is about..

The thing is, this is aimed at men, most men in the workplace are limited in what clothes they can wear, far more so than women.

There is only so much you can do to individualise a suit jacket/trousers/shirt/tie combo.. the most men do is outrageous socks/ties..

Males are constrained in a far more rigid framework than women so it is easy to say that successful men all look the same, because it is true, they do.. but then so do the unsuccessful ones and so do the mediocre ones..

In fact the only way to tell them apart if to look at the shoes or accessories, like a watch.. others who just wear T/shirts or Polo shirts are just trying to create a personal branding, much like the unsuccessful and mediocre ones do..

I wonder if Theresa May is considered unsuccessful as she wears different clothes, and seems to have a love for shoes, so that must me she is really really unsucessful..

One of the most interesting books I have read is the one called, "First break all the rules" which is what the most successful do rather than how they look...

Go to wonder, what is important, what a successful person does to achieve their success, or how they look while doing it.

In a management or executive position, men should wear black suits. Women are expected to look sexy but not whoorish.

I think a proper male corporate executive should wear a red rubber nose and big floppy shoes. Women corporate executives should wear string bikinis. Obviously, our opinions vary greatly on the matter, but that's why we're here talking about it, to change the world for the better.

Dunno. 90% of the females at my work where yoga pants and bend over a lot.
I've decided, that in itself, could be considered sexual harassment, because it makes me feel uncomfortable...

"uncomfortable"

Yeah.

I know that feeling. I mean I feel a bit "uncomfortable" just thinking about the women AT YOUR WORK wearing yoga pants.

I think I'm going to search the 'net for pictures of women in yoga pants now so that I get... um... very uncomfortable.

LOL!

Former 76ers GM, Sam Hinky, recently stated in an interview that he wears the same outfit everyday to avoid "decision-fatigue".

I'm pretty sure I do not wish to see Ginni Rometty or Carly Fiorina in string bikinis.

When I was a salesman in a big box store, I wore my suit all the time, even after work, I think it was cause I was too lazy to change. chuckle

I agree too, that it is ok to wear the same clothes a few days as long as you change your underwear and socks, cause it is not like we are heavy duty mechanics or field workers who get all dirty.
