The globalists are gonna hit us with 747s again?

Or maybe the airline owners just found out the planes are loaded with asbestos and would cost more than they are worth to retrofit.

You could probably check disaster bonds and see if their risk has risen in the past couple days.

But the ban appears to apply to 13 countries for the next 96 hours, according to Fox News, and could be in response to a new intelligence threat — not related to President Trump’s revised travel ban, which was frozen before it took effect last week.

from Jourdain Air

Royal Jordanian posted on Twitter Monday that “following instructions from the concerned U.S. departments, we kindly inform our dearest passengers departing to and arriving from the United States that carrying any electronic or electrical device on board the flight cabins is strictly prohibited.”

The tweet was later deleted, but a State Department source told CNN that affected countries and airlines are being informed of the ban.

Sounds like they know something is in the pipeline.

Didn't Trump host a Saudi dignitary about a week ago? I wonder if the Intel came from this meeting?

Interesting.

Another U.S. official says the ban on some electronics is believed to be related to Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula or AQAP. The intelligence community has been tracking this threat for some time, but the official said that some information from a recent U.S. Special Forces raid in Yemen contributed to the ongoing concern.

From the Ryan affair.

A second U.S. official said the ban will affect nine airlines in total, and the Transportation Security Administration will inform the affected airlines at 3 a.m. Eastern time Tuesday.

The officials were not authorized to disclose the details of the ban ahead of a public announcement and spoke on the condition of anonymity.

RE: Feds temporarily ban electronics on certain flights to US
The ban would begin just before Wednesday's meeting of the U.S.-led coalition against the Islamic State group in Washington. A number of top Arab officials were expected to attend the State Department gathering. It was unclear whether their travel plans were related to any increased worry about security threats.

Brian Jenkins, an aviation-security expert at the Rand Corp., said the nature of the security measure suggested that it was driven by intelligence of a possible attack. He added that there could be concern about inadequate passenger screening or even conspiracies involving insiders — airport or airline employees — in some countries.

Notebook batteries can be used to power a taser. Many devices with powerful batteries probably could be turned into a taser.

Yellow Alert ? Officials have banned certain electronic devices on flights to the US

Officials have banned certain electronic devices on flights to the U.S. from 13 international airports due to increased terror threats, sources told Fox News Monday.

The ban is the result of an increased "volume" of chatter suggesting that Al Qaeda and other groups are still looking for ways to sneak explosive materials onboard planes.
