Bees are dying -- what can we do about it?

Maybe you could stand to live in a world without honey. But what about almonds, pears, avocados, grapes and -- dare we say -- wine?
Most plants rely on bees and other natural pollinators to produce some of nature's most nutritious and beloved foods.
But pollinators, a diverse group that includes insects and animals such as birds and bats, are under threat because of widespread pesticide use, climate change, the emergence of foreign pests, diseases and habitat loss. Between April 2015 and April 2016, beekeepers in the United States lost 44 percent of their colonies and in the UK, beekeepers reported losses of almost 17 percent, according to the British Beekeepers Association.

Stop using Monsanto everything and breed them
maybe feed them locally until you have a lot of them instead of letting them roam
only do business with reliable organic farms

Nothing. Do nothing. Often the best and proper course of action is to do nothing.

Arrogant meddling is what got us into trouble in the first place, trying to "feed the world" using insecticides and pesticides.

I'm hoping the entire planet suffers a complete loss of all life except for cockroaches and ants, let them fight it out after we're gone.

instead of a nice trimmed grass patio, why not have flowers? that's what they need, nectar.

and a place to stay? do not clean your garden during winter, leave it untill spring.
solitary bees hibernate in broken hollow twigs, stems.

research a lil what flowers attract and help bees/butterflies.

and plant those.

I already do what I can.
I don't poison my yard.
I do my best to not support poisoned food.
And I speak out against mass poisoning as a choice for agriculture.

The change has to start with you.

Stop consuming produce that is sprayed with glycophosphate (Monsanto demon chemical). Aldi recently stopped selling produce that is sprayed with it.

Start planting bee gardens. Echinaecea (cone flower) attracts bees. Don't rip out your dandelions that grow all over your lawn. Bees go to those first for spring pollination.

Most of all... Do NOT use Round-Up or anything made by Monsanto. :)

The biggie regarding bees are neonicotinoids not glysophate (roundup).
Knowing that might help.

RE: Bees are dying -- what can we do about it?
people have been trying to help but in the end they makes things worse

over and over we hear, read or watch stories where people set up beehives and other bee homes ... only to attract a swarm of africanized honeybees that have become a neighborhood killing nuisance

bee-keeping takes specialized knowledge, and almost DAILY hive-checking to make sure they haven't been compromised by africanized killer bees

the whole africanized killer bee story was a manmade disaster as well

Daily care! <sheesh> You think plants grow on happiness and intent?

i can barely raise a seedling. one out of 50 aint bad. trial by error. <shrug> not to mention others not recognizing bees and worrying them as a nuicanse. while they are up there with butter flys and skippers and whatever the hell else is there.

what would happen if there was a disease to killl all worms ?

sadly or perhaps luckily.
all of us things are interconnected. 'suckers'

smash any survivor bees you see. Might as well get this show on the road, and head toward doom as quick as possible.
