Interesting OP but what is your personal obsession with coffer dams?

I've worked on elements of their design in the past.

Last year I was living in a place in the U.S. where this technology is being used on a large-scale. Permanent placement to retain industrial waste.

I could not actually get close to it to see it for myself (as it is located on a military base) so had to suffice for Google Earth satellite views; even in that format, it was quite impressive (and suspicious, what may be actually stored in there so close to a large, civilian population.)

I see I've never designed any of these myself just above and below ground storage tanks is closest I've gotten.

Cool pics.

Storage tanks are another cool engineering concept and very useful, too.

If I had the land, I'd definitely have storage tanks for different liquids: water, motor oil, diesel and regular gas.

I'm not sure how it goes or how safe it is to store fuel in those large amounts, but it would be worth investing in for the long haul.

Thanks for your reply.

Masonic symbolism, meets Black Smiths, and starving people willing to die in order to eat.

That is a history that really can't be replaced. Though there are plenty of lessons that should never be forgotten as to the cost for living , working, and not being under the thumb of "entitlements" .

We have constructed megaliths, behemoth machines, and unknown horrors, still culminating as we speak.

Cofferdams are really fascinating though. Did you see any of the images and stuff about the construction of Chinas Megadam?

Now that's crazy.
