Among the highest balances include a $11,494.84 balance belonging to a Marion County SNAP recipient, a $12,450.16 balance on a Hamilton County user’s card, and $17,100.87 belonging to a SNAP user in St. Joseph County.

While American workers struggle to survive, with recent studies showing that two-thirds of people in the U.S. would struggle to cover a thousand dollar crisis, with many indicating they do not even have enough in their savings to cover a $500 emergency without using a credit card or borrowing from family or friends, a reciept allegedly found outside of a Liberty Kentucky Save-a-Lot store shows an EBT (Electronic Benefit Transfer) balance of $5,583.42 is causing some outrage across the Internet.

10 Investigates Discovers Families With Massive Food Benefit Balances

OLUMBUS, Ohio
While some Ohioans struggle daily to keep food on their shelves, others have amassed amounts large enough to feed a small army – literally.

Some recipients of food assistance have tens of thousands of dollars on their government benefit cards.

A tip from a Central Ohio grocery store employee about large SNAP card balances led 10 Investigates to uncover previously unknown numbers. State and county officials said they were unaware of these large benefit balances.

Margery Miller is retired - homebound - and struggled for two months to get help from the county agency responsible for food assistance. When she repeatedly called, an automated message responded : "Please try calling back again at another time. This call will now be disconnected. Thank you."

United States receives trillions in import tariff's from major corporations, corporate and company taxes, and us.
This money is completely unaccounted for and has not had to be accounted for.
Both Trump and Obama wanted to redirect this public money to rebuild our crumbling infrastructure - both of them.
It's for the children - just not yours - follow the (hidden) money
The money that flows in, flows quietly back out to foreign shores - how is it possible to do this? Use foreign banks....

Democrats object to Trump infrastructure plan's direction

F'uck Democrats

Democrats had hoped the one big policy area they could find common ground with President Donald Trump on was infrastructure, but they don't like what they're hearing from administration officials about the transportation portion of the plan that's still in the works.

Trump has promised to generate $1 trillion in infrastructure spending over 10 years. With two of his other top campaign pledges in trouble — an effort to repeal and replace the Obama administration health care law has failed so far, and without savings to the government from health care changes there may not be enough money to pay for lowering tax rates — infrastructure appeared to be an area ripe for bipartisan compromise.

But some Democrats say they worry that Trump's plan will focus on trying to entice more private investment in transportation projects and reduce regulations that require environmental reviews and community consultation on projects rather than providing more government money to repair, replace and expand the nation's transportation network.

Reps. Peter DeFazio of Oregon and Eleanor Holmes Norton of the District of Columbia, two top Democrats on the House transportation committee, sent a letter Wednesday to Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao objecting to comments she made last week about the failure to fix the nation's crumbling transportation system.

It's pretty obvious they will object to anything Trump proposes. It's good though, because they distance themselves further from America when they object to things that are good for America, just to be obstinate children.

Turn about is fair play. Sauce for the gander is sauce for the goose. Etc., etc. Suck it up, you played this way for 8 years and now you're whining when it's given right back? f*#k off.

What percentage is that of total EBT users? What percentage of the national budget? And how does this is any way have anything to do with Trump's massive fraud and blatant illegal profiteering off the Presidency?

The fact that it is accrued indicates that they are not actually USING their EBT very much so month by month is adds up. Get $100/month in EBT, spend $90 of it that month, balance $10... carried over to the next month, in a years time the balance would be $120 on balance... if only $90 of it is spent (in any way) each month, then yes, the balances can grow and grow. Just an example.

And then there are those that seriously need "food stamps" and are given $30 per month so they learn to rely on food pantries and commodities and 'free church dinners'.

This would be much better and cheaper than a system where the government shits away 11 trillion dollars of tax payer money and can't do simple things.

That's the walk way we are heading for. Look out for the S.S.A. They'll do cavity searches on everyone, regardless of age.
Scream1

Bloomberg and Arnold Schwarnegger were jointly pushing the PPP version of infrastructure years ago.

In the mildest case it just means your tax dollars pay for the arena, and LiarLoan INC gets to NAME it.

But that's not what the Trump version is.

It's a series of toll extractions that will box everybody in a pay to move maze.

Like Houston.

Last time I was in Houston the only easy way to get to the hospital was by toll roads.

RE: Democrats object to Trump infrastructure plan's direction

Re-embedding this to make another point^^^^

New Deal infrastructure projects were LARGE SCALE and provided HUGE platforms for development of NEW private enterprises.

The theft of our mass transit led to gridded out urban sprawl which is much more costly than better planning around mass transit.

Because roads require a lot of maintenance vs rail, the more we build the more burdened we are by maintenance.

If we had left in place Tulsa's interurban system and expanded it to the North Side, we would have saved billions and billions on new roads, plumbing, wiring, sewer and other costs associated with White Flight to the South and East and the corresponding burdens of maintaining all these SQUARES of tardia.

chuckle

You can see Tulsa's old system on google earth:
