Dude, you've got a lot of balls to criticize American media in the face of the abomination that is the direct government/media-hybrid of the Russian system.
(from the article):
"In 2013 Russia ranked 148th out of 179 countries in the Press Freedom Index from Reporters Without Borders. In 2015 Freedom House report Russia got score of 83 (100 being the worst), mostly because of new laws introduced in 2014 that further extended the state control over mass-media."

Seriously, on page 5 you link to a clip from the RT Network. Good sir, RT is directly funded BY the Russian government. It's their mouthpiece.

On the surface RT is absolutely less "crazy" than, say, the state-sponsored North Korean-news, but at their fundamental levels they're basically mirror images of each other.

The American free press is hardly flawless. It leaves A LOT to be improved upon, as well as be ashamed of.

But it does NOT function as a de facto mouthpiece for any government. It's its own (granted, usually f**ked up) thing.

Whereas Russia? Russia's presently barely only a few notches better than the bad old Stalinist days. That's not my opinion. It's a fact.

The western prejudiced sources with heaps of the financed organizations by amrikansky oligarchs speak to me about freedom and ratings... Your ratings about Russia have same objectivity as the Ratings of North Korea ... I live in Russia ... in a free country ... I have my own opinion ... I don't have to trust American rating agencies .... On it thrust to yourself into an ass the anti-Russian western rating agencies ...

Century of globalization... I know opinions of many people from the EU ... I read many years transfers of the press of the different countries ... Also I read comments of simple people ... Your free America deletes my new accounts often on your information portals ... Only 3 pro-American trolls are resolved on your information portals... Putin kills journalists... 3 anti-Russian trolls conduct a discussion on behalf of Russians... shame on you USA... I saw it on your information portals ... Form an image of the enemy... misinform own society ...
Air of the American program was tried to be forged under bloody thoughts of Russians ... I often see that the American government shows Russians even worse than terrorists of ISIS ...

But I think..., that the American media lack objectivity ... On it the American ratings have no objectivity too ... 8 ... 150 ... 15784 ... not care .... the source is not credible ... I have a bad English ... but I will defend Russia ... Because it is the best country in the world

I'm not anti-Russian and I think anyone who is "anti-Russian" is an asshole.

I'm anti this kind of sh*t:

THAT'S ^^^^^ Putin's Russia.

The United States is quite a cesspool. You'll never see me on the 4th of July running around in an Uncle Sam-hat with two handfuls of sparklers. For the most part I detest the system under which the US operates.

But our Constitution is quite a document. For a long time I was lukewarm on it, mostly based on its initial endorsement of slavery, and its exclusion from women of the right to vote, etc...

But when I take into consideration the 1rst Amendment, and the 5 and 6th Amendment, etc...and compare those ideals to what I see occurring in other countries around the world today...I start to feel very lucky to be an American.

The US is f**ked, no argument. But the 1rst Amendment is astonishingly relevant/important to anyone who values civilization.

And in Russia there exists nothing even remotely similar.

I wish the new President of the United States began a new era of relations between Russia and the United States ...

Me as well.

Time will tell.
