This occurred to me. Whether it be toys, cars or whatever that is considered inanimate. I wonder if these things can have feelings and be considered alive, to an extent.

Inanimate, no. I think all living things have some sort of consciousness.

Inanimate, no. I think all living things have some sort of consciousness.

I know I am conscious, but honestly I have no way of knowing or proving if any of you are. So, I take anything anyone else has to say with a grain of salt. I'm operating on the premise that I am the only one conscious and the rest of you are imaginary, like in a dream. Eventually I'll wake up and realize all this was just another dream and none of your were ever actually really real.

You see, I believe this because you all seem to be playing along in this world I imaged I would like to play in. It's as if you are all here to fulfill all my desires. I'll bet one of you will be standing by to bake me a pizza for lunch today while another of you milks a cow for me so I'll have milk and cheese the next day too. It seems whenever I desire something, the rest of you are conveniently here and standing by to provide it for me. chuckle It's as if you're all anticipating my next desire too. When I wanted a new car, you guys suspiciously had it already built and ready for me to buy and drive off in. Cool.

Consciousness is a product of the brain.

Inanimate objects lacks brains.

Therefore, inanimate objects lack consciousness.

You know what's funny? It's when I read YOUR comments I know that there is actually NO way in hell you are the only person or being in existence, because there is ME and i DON'T think that at all.

so there has to be at least two of us. and I know there is a lot more than that.

thinking one is the only being in the universe is pretty egotistical if you think about it, too.

I wouldn't be surprised to find out someday that dream characters have more love in them than some supposedly "real" people do. I say "supposedly" because I know it love that is what makes one really real.

Just read the velveteen rabbit to find that out.
