you might have seen my small garden and greenhouse over the last 3 years .... decided the front yard was too small.... decided to make raised beds behind our house, but have very limited funds ..... frames are almost all up.... here's some pics...... lots of ideas coming ..... any of yours are welcome.

had to buckle under, just too many rocks and trees, and very little soil...... hired a backhoe and brought in soil last year ....... couldn't save much here....but saved for it .....

drove 18" corner posts made from scrap .... they will eventually need replaced.... cost $ 0 ... like that cost.but would rather have done it with 18" 4x4 ..... hinge the front to raise like a gate.... now i can still run my tiller into the bed in the spring.....
filled the bed from the outside in......

Very nice. I use large pots. Yuuge pots. My CPA uses cinder blocks. I know it's not purely organic, but I put down black plastic and cardboard where I don't want to weed.

i bought 50 - 5 gallon pots from the local grocery store.... been container gardening for years... some of my old posts prob in history .... biggest problem has been keeping them watered... they have tied me down so much....i had one raised bed and it seemed to work well ....... decided to try this

the 2 large outside gardens are for asparagus .... never grown, ..... takes 3 years .... but it has a large demand and the harvest from a small area is large..... hoping to sell some to pay expenses.
i found a farmer in essex who is shipping me crowns, roots that are 1 year old... very reasonable price and saves a year.... if interested in address pm me

Most excellent. May your garden be overproductive this year.

Growing any herbs? Do you have any as perennials?

I don't plan on much this year, just a few plants in pots and a small garden patch that will end up filled with annual flowers ...bad soil I'm still trying to build up.
