In order to be a mainsteam religious conservative in America, you must believe the following:

1. Geologists are wrong about the age of the world.

2. Biologists are wrong about evolution.

3. Climate scientists are wrong about global warming.

4. Historians are wrong about the Bible.

Etc., etc.

Conservatives believe that all* lives matter!

Nonsense.

Very few people believe in a young Earth and most people have
some belief in evolution, or no interest in disputing either ideology.

Global warming is believed by people who live in hot climates
and has nothing to do with faith in God.

But the biggest reason your post is nonsense is that most mainstream
religious conservatives don't worry about these issues very much
at all.

We have jobs, educations, and families to think about, not the ideological
nonsense that occupies your warped mind.

Nope. The fundamental blind spot of the religious conservatives in America is that they pretend the Pope is genuine.

Actually that is a fundamental blind spot of all the "elites"

What is the purpose of this thread? to show that you are intolerant and illiberal in your outlook?

Ask yourself:

Should people be allowed to form their own opinions of the world around them? yes/no

Should people be allowed to have their own beliefs, be it, I was born in the wrong body, the world is 6,000 years old?
Yes/no

RE: The problem with religious conservatives in America
50% of American's believe that God created the universe and everything in it, including Man in his image, in 6 days.

70% of Americans believe Jesus will return and save them.

80% of Americans believe we are guided, controlled or influenced by a superior being of some description.

.......this just leaves a rare few that are right....chuckle

I always thought that was clear depending on the time of posting... when I end up being woken by the cat at 3am and can't get back to sleep this place is generally filled with Americans bumping heads...

Some people will stay up late. But OP and MR2 definitely don't live in america. Neither does John. But usually you'll see the ones commenting so bad about america are not ones that live in it. Funny, not really.

RE: The problem with religious conservatives in America
The title is something you'd see on Buzzfeed by some turd named Saul Kominsky or Jill Goldman.

And people still fall for it and don't realize it's another branch slapping them upside the head.

But if they strike back the histrionics go to levels off the f*cking spectrum.

And you can't say sh*t because they will financially destroy you.

Yet somehow the beat goes on and Christians are the problem.

Most people who comment negatively on a certain countries don't tend to live there..

I've never lived in the USA but have closely worked with Americans for over 30 years around the world, most of my family live in the USA, and are way to religious for my tastes.. but I still have no idea what the place is like aside from 2nd hand reports..

I will say that I have found (in 30 years) the deeply religious ones are also the nicest, kindest and most tolerant people I have met, I never ceases to amaze me how the supposedly tolerant liberal ones tend to come across as deeply judgmental, intolerant and illiberal..

I'm not commenting negatively on America. I'm a proud American who believes in the real America, which is more than religious nutjobs.
