Sin is also getting tattoos and eating shellfish and if you were a REAL Christian, instead of the cherry picker that you are, you would follow all of God's laws. Jesus said not a jot or tittle of the law is to pass away until he comes back.

Jesus said the road is narrow and FEW find the way to heaven. Jesus said that you should be perfect, as God is perfect. Jesus said it is easier for a man to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get into heaven. Jesus said to repent of all your sins and SIN NO MORE.

Why would Jesus say all this if all you have to do is selfishly believe he died for you? If you honestly have the Holy Spirit inside, you should be sin free. Jesus told a good man who asked how he could get to heaven that he had to sell everything and give it to the poor. If you honestly think you are getting to heaven without listening to the commands of Jesus, you are sadly mistaken. Jesus drives a hard bargain that you choose to ignore.

Believe me my friend if you follow Jesus you WILL give up your sins.

So you sold everything and gave it to the poor? So you are so full of pride that you think you are perfect? So what do you need Jesus for?

So you are not greedy, you never get angry, you never envy anyone, you love your enemies, you honestly care deeply about the millions of people who will burn in agony forever in hell so you talk about Jesus non stop, night and day?

You never lie, even though I just caught you in one. You think you are sinless and I will bet my life that a few people find you arrogant and self righteous, just like the Pharisees. You turn up your nose at sinners while failing to see that big log of ugly snot dripping from your own nose. Come to think of it, Jesus hated the Pharisees, you know, people like you. Have fun in hell with those sinners.

In the Harry Potter books the 'hero' doesn't encourage mass murder/genocide, rape and incest.

God is soooo cool. What's wrong with mass murder and genocide of men, women and children? And it is ok to rape a woman. God said you just gotta pay some silver to the dad and you get to marry her. Every woman would love to marry their rapist. And incest is cool with God. Job's daughters got their dad drunk and raped him. They both got pregnant to carry on the bloodline. You just need to get with the Christian program, kiddo.

There is an actual plot to the Harry Potter series of books. The Bible is a book filled with stories of a fear inducing God who will burn you alive forever and ever if you don't follow his rules and dogma.

I marvel at how people can give this God their blind devotion when the Bible paints a portrait of God as a child and infant murderer. He commands his thugs to go into villages and murder everything including women, children, infants, cattle and donkeys. Are people insane?

I think most normal people clearly understand that this God of the Bible is not real. But because they have this deep seated need to live forever, they will cling to this demonic entity while shutting out the reality of what their book really says about him. Is this called cognitive dissonance? This is sad but true.

Yes, he was a young and jealous God...not the one true God, our creator.

I think he actually does, there's the pop culture "theory" that Harry is actually in a lunatic asylum for murder, something like that.

If you're paranoid, remember - you're not the sicko, the sickos are those watching you.

Harry Potter books are for entertainment, to take you away into fantasy land for a bit.
The Bible is for the soul, those seeking answers about life and death and deliverance from their egoic, carnal trappings. To those who study scriptures and have a relationship with God, the Bible is as deep as the deepest ocean.

What a load of crap . The Bible is not for the soul . It's for enslavement. The Bible does not have the answers . The answers are within us . I have read many other religious texts deeper than the deepest ocean way more so than the Bible .

Well stick to Harry Potter then.

Absolutely nothing . Both tell stories . To put your entire belief system in a fairy tale is stupid . Because I'm sure God said let there be light and there was light . And he created this garden but somehow let the serpent in . Then we have Abraham who almost sacrifices his son . Jews are led out of Slavery. Etc etc etc . Then we have Jesus where God spoke from the heavens this is my son . I know the Bible very well and it's not beneficial to mankind that so many people dedicate their whole lives to a book . Wake the f up.

To you ?

- no difference.

As you don't see any difference between your GF and your blow-up sex doll.

Oh? I'm confused. See, the "Bible" are actually tells you to judge as well. LOL.

Just another one of those 'contradictions' that people claim do not exist.

Judge everything and everyone.
In righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour. Leviticus 19:15

Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. John 7:24

But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 1 Corinthians 2:15

For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person. 1 Corinthians 5:12-13

Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?. 1 Corinthians 6:2-3

Harry Potter has less plot holes in the fiction than the Bible does.

This is probably good advice if you want to have an enjoyable reading session.

Wow, here I was thinking that there were no perfect people in this world. That's why we needed Jesus. But the Bible is clearly wrong. They did not predict a person like you, so unique and special that you are without sin. You will get to heaven on your own merit and screw Jesus. Right? Who needs Jesus? What's your name, oh perfect One. Perhaps we all could just pray to you.

And which God, out of our garden variety of Gods, is the real God? Does he talk to you? Can you see him? Do you have proof of his existence. Or are you just pretending he exists so you can pretend you are immortal? I guess you won't be answering those questions....tee hee.

There is a graveyard in Edinburgh Scotland where Rowlings went for inspiration. If you go to that graveyard today, wannabe authors sit for hours among the graves hoping for the same spiritual connection.
