In the Harry Potter books the 'hero' doesn't encourage mass murder/genocide, rape and incest.

I think he actually does, there's the pop culture "theory" that Harry is actually in a lunatic asylum for murder, something like that.

Yep, read that on Reddit

Interesting. I didn't know that.

Jhikpghf

Both Ramayana and Mahabharata for example, which are thousands of years old, refer to flying machines and weapons of destruction that not only rivals but surpass those of modern man. “The Ramayana , and its companion the Mahabharata, are something like a combination of George Lucas’s Star Wars and J R R Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings.

In texts thousands of years old, the combatants fly around in metallic flying machines that run on some sort of ‘anti-gravity’ mechanism and battle each other with particle beam weapons and horrifying explosive devices.”

.

I am familiar with the vimanas through the vimana shastras.

I will have to read those stories.

I think I started on the Ramayana once.

Anyway, that is very cool.

To me Harry Potter comes off as a real prick.

I never read the book but went to one of the movies.

Here's this orphan kid whose "Christian" stepparents provided him with a home and pay for all his clothes and meals and to show his appreciation he runs off to live with some satanic devil worshippers because some owl told him.

So they lost me right out of the gate on that one.

Harry Potter books are for entertainment, to take you away into fantasy land for a bit.
The Bible is for the soul, those seeking answers about life and death and deliverance from their egoic, carnal trappings. To those who study scriptures and have a relationship with God, the Bible is as deep as the deepest ocean.

What a load of crap . The Bible is not for the soul . It's for enslavement. The Bible does not have the answers . The answers are within us . I have read many other religious texts deeper than the deepest ocean way more so than the Bible .

Did you also crap your pants as a baby? chuckle

Your buy-bull was plagiarized from these texts:

Wherefore thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly. (Ezek 13:20)

Of course the translation is an intentional misdirect, but I think you get the jest of it!!

Reality, embrace it!!

The Bible has archeological evidence supporting it

Harry Potter does not

Care to wip up the proof Jesus turned water into wine and fed the multitudes with a few loafs of bread . Not to mention raising the dead or healing leperts . Oh wait you weren't there no way to prove it . But let's put our lives to this story and be blind . Good job.

Bible has Jesus.

There's all the proof you need.

Absolutely nothing . Both tell stories . To put your entire belief system in a fairy tale is stupid . Because I'm sure God said let there be light and there was light . And he created this garden but somehow let the serpent in . Then we have Abraham who almost sacrifices his son . Jews are led out of Slavery. Etc etc etc . Then we have Jesus where God spoke from the heavens this is my son . I know the Bible very well and it's not beneficial to mankind that so many people dedicate their whole lives to a book . Wake the f up.

Fool .
