You wouldn't think that would affect the good restraunts. I often leave a tip as much as that minimum hourly wage. So, seriously, if they can't cut it, they probably aren't serving good enough food to bring in enough customers.

Small business barely makes it as it is. Add another expense and many small business just quits. Wage and price controls have been tried many times and always fail.

During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act.

Why doesn't the state get really progressive and just say, okay we'll secede from the union and print our own currency. We'll set up a new central bank, but instead of our currency being tied to the dollar (debt) it is allowed to float freely in relation to other currencies.

Then they can print as much money as they want, and subsidize people's labor. So let's say they calculate that a person needs to make $20 an hour to have a "fair" lifestyle in California, they can make the employer pay $10 an hour while the state pays the other $10 an hour.

See none of this is about empowering the individual. At best it's claim is to empower one group, but it can only come at the expense of some other group.

A lot of it they have deferred with debt, throwing the actual cost unto a third group, the unborn who come into this world with shackles on their ankles.

Underlying most arguments against the free market is a lack of belief in freedom itself.

Let's say they double the minimum wage from $8 an hour to $16 an hour. Who get's hurt? For starters the people who make $16 an hour because they have more responsibility from having more experience.

So, you end up pissing off a group of people who bought into the system of meritocracy only to be castrated. This then works it's way up the chain of salaries until you get to a high enough point where the wave has been attenuated by the lower classes.

Yah I think it also demonstrates a lack of true understanding. Our colleges are great at printing out copies of themselves but not too good at creating people who can think for themselves.

If we were directed from Washington when to sow and when to reap, we would soon want for bread.
