Grenfell fire: manslaughter chargers being considered!

Quote:"There are wider regulatory offences but I think manslaughter is the most serious and that’s the one that needs to be looked at first. So a public inquiry allows things to happen more quickly and allows a broader range of questions and inquests come usually at the end of the exercise."
He added that all political parties "need to ask serious questions about why recommendations in the past have not been implemented."

It came as Philip Hammond said the criminal investigation would examine whether building regulations had been breached when the block was overhauled.

The cladding they used on the outside of the building is banned in the uk:

Just as long as the guy who started the fire with suitcases already packed isn't blamed.....suppose justice will be served then.

He started a fire in his flat.
A fire that should have been contained within his flat.
The fact that one f*cktard could burn down an entire tower block is what people are getting annoyed about.
That sh*t is not supposed to happen.

suitcases already packed before he thought to alert his neighbors. Did he make even an attempt to put it out himself or call the fire service?

Yes, which is why I like to ask for a source on the first page so that sh*t gets squashed early on in the thread.

If society fell apart, we - the people would build a new one. Most people are good at their core, and when we see things that are wrong we work to fix them together. Make friends with your neighbors, get involved with your community - because we will rebuild our lives, our communities, from horrible circumstances we always will.

He had no idea the outside of the flat would lite like a Christmas tree within no time at all, he thought his apartment might be a goner.
If I had a kitchen fire I would grab my cat and my photo albums and mothers jewelry also before running out.
There is no proof he did not call the fire department before he ran out. Just a neighbor mentioning he had a duffel bag.

From that, you guys go as far as accusing this guy of being well prepared and pre-packed before lighting his building on fire.
