Proving yet again, you suck at life.

Ya maybe next life want be as bad chuckle

I'm glad you're able to stay humorous about all of the negative replies coming your way, Ghost. Some people are just as*holes like that. I think if you do what Brother Rudis suggested you will be just fine. When I first tried to make a budget I had a lot of trouble sticking to it because it seems like something always comes up that you didn't expect, like a flat tire or your alternator goes out or whatever else. I owed about $2,000 on my credit card at one point, but I tightened my belt, started eating ramen noodles, and threw $300 from each paycheck at the thing till I got my balance to 0. Now I only use it in cases of extreme emergencies. After learning how to live without that extra $300 every paycheck I was able to keep on that habit and squirrel that money away and build a savings. Now when my alternator goes out or I need my trees trimmed I just dip it out of the savings and don't have to worry about accruing interest on that damned AmEx.

Some of the comments here are sickening. I sincerely hope none of you ever is in need of anything….

The working poor cannot keep to a budget of any kind. Once you're out of money, you're out….

Emergencies happen to all of us…and they affect the poor the most.

At least this guy works. If you can't be kind, then just leave him alone.

He can do a lot of things he just refuses to do. Like eat properly, etc....he's always wanting advice, but then never follows it. Even poor people can budget, and one of the ways to do that is by not spending money you don't have. Plastic is not a substitute for cold, hard cash. A bill eventually shows up.

Yeah, poor people can budget. That works fine until you have a few rainy days and no money left.

So the guy bought a couple books and posters want to make him out to be public enemy no.1. We ALL have bought things that maybe we shouldn't have. I can't imagine having to apologize for books.

Yes, plastic isn't a substitute of for cold, hard cash. Plastic also isn't a substitute for a soul.

The rest of us poor folk don't plaster every idiotic purchase, gripe and irresponsibility on lop. Op refuses legit help and comes for the abuse.
