No, the dead aren't asleep in the graves.
They are very much awake and aware.
Anyone who thinks the dead are asleep and unaware ... well they aren't paying attention.

Oh ... and your Revelation in the bible backs my statement up.
Revelation 6:9

8Then I looked and saw a pale horse. Its rider’s name was Death, and Hades followed close behind. And they were given authority over a fourth of the earth, to kill by sword, by famine, by plague, and by the beasts of the earth. 9And when the Lamb opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony they had upheld. 10And they cried out in a loud voice, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge those who live on the earth and avenge our blood?”…

Ecclesiastes 9:5
For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing; they have no further reward, and even their name is forgotten
UNLESS you have a really COOL Name and Mothers name their KIDS after you!

How much does one know or comprehend after death?

"The living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun." "There is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest." Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6, 10. "The dead praise not the Lord." Psalms 115:17.

WOW .. you are still trying to pump out the garbage.
You've been educated on this before.
But you've been too indoctrinated for actual information to sink in.
Let's give it another try. maybe this time you'll see the light.

In light of it's vile bloody history of persecution, it is fair to ask: Why has Jesus allowed the RC cult to not only survive, but to thrive ?

Definition of cult - a system of religious veneration and devotion directed toward a particular figure or object. PROTESTANTS are cultists as well as Catholics and Hindus and Jews and Muslims and ______ (fill in religion of choice).

Quote:Great Whore
in "city of 7 hills" ...
The correct quote is that it SITS on 7 hills.
The Vatican doesn't sit on 7 hills.
But Mecca does. So does JERUSALEM.

Quote:that "fornicates (makes deals with) the kings,
Jerusalem at the time of the writing.
Ezekiel 16 and Ezekiel 23 describe Jerusalem as a whore.

Quote:has "shed the blood of martyrs" ...
Jerusalem

Thus you witness against yourselves that you are sons of those who murdered the prophets
-Matthew 23:29-31

That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.
-Matthew 23:35

"O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you,
-Matthew 23:37

Quote:has "world wide influence" ...
It does't say that. YOU have added your interpretation. That's not scriptural.

Quote:is very rich
It doesn't explicitly say that.
But at the time, the corruption in Jerusalem was rich.
ALL corruption - politicians and religious around the world - are rich.
Back then and today ... the same everywhere.

Quote:likes purple and scarlet costumes
The correct quote is "And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour" .. not 'wearing purple and scarlet costumes'.
Stop misquoting scripture. And again .. it's Jerusalem.

And you, O desolate one, what will you do? Although you dress in scarlet, Although you decorate yourself with ornaments of gold, Although you enlarge your eyes with paint, In vain you make yourself beautiful; Your lovers despise you; They seek your life. I hear a cry as of a woman in labor, a groan as of one bearing her first child-the cry of the Daughter of Zion gasping for breath, stretching out her hands and saying, "Alas! I am fainting; my life is given over to murderers."
-Jeremiah 4:30-31

Quote:Nothing else in the universe fits the Great Whore description like the Vatican does.
The Vatican doesn't fit. Jerusalem hits all the markers.
And you keep misquoting the information to force it to fit the Vatican.
Shame on you.

Seriously just fvckoff.

1 Corinthians 12:12 (ESV)
For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body,
though many, are one body, so it is with Christ.

1 JOHN 4:20
If a man say, “I love YhWh,” and hateth his brother, he is a liar. For he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love YhWh whom he hath not seen?

You changed my post. I don't appreciate it.
And my New Testament post contradicts your Old Testament post.
Gee .. the bible contradicts itself. Whod'a thought it?

The dead are not asleep.
They are very much alive and aware.
Anyone who says different just aren't paying attention.

Even Jesus said that there are ghosts.
When the apostles saw Him after death, they thought He was a ghost.
He ate with them and said 'do ghosts eat?"
He didn't say .. 'no silly, there are no ghosts, everyone is asleep'.
Instead he said that ghosts don't eat.

Ghosts are real. The dead aren't dead but are alive and awake.
Jesus said so. Experience says so. That's just the way it is.
The Old Testament is wrong.

No, I'm correct.
In regards to John 6, the Catholics take it literally.
Protestants choose not to.
In other matters, it's the Protestants who take things literally
while the Catholics do not.

Catholics and Protestants both pick and choose what they want to take literally and what they do not. Much like Democrats and Republicans in the media pick and choose what they want to pay attention to and what they want to ignore .. all to further their own 'team'.

Sure.
Read what I posted.

There were books and letters scattered. MANY of them. TONS of them.
It was Catholic Councils that got together and decided which of them would
be officially recognized as divinely inspired and put in the bible and which would not.
It's a CATHOLIC BOOK. Put together by Catholic men in Catholic councils in the 300s. Determined by the Catholic church.

To use the bible is to use a Catholic book. Period.

The Bible (from Koine Greek τὰ βιβλία, tà biblía, "the books") is a collection of sacred texts or scriptures that Jews and Christians consider to be a product of divine inspiration and a record of the relationship between God and humans. Many different authors contributed to the Bible.
