I should note that equifax owes EVERYONE affected a lifetime monitoring subscription of their choice. Anything short of that is absolute BS.

And their stupid 'sign up for our 1 year credit monitoring' is the biggest slap in the face!

First, why would I trust you after you LOST ALL MY FRIGGEN PERSONAL INFO?!?!?!

Second, ONE FRIGGEN YEAR?!?!?!?!!?

And thanks for the PIN whoever did that ;)

I refuse to use any protection agency that needs me to give them access to anything that needs protected. Its like saying, here is all my most important information, now should I decide to stop paying you I trust you will do the right thing with it and I'll be as safe as could be.

One needs to ask, just how many of those who had their information hacked, stopped paying them before their information was hacked.

These hacks will grow to the point, we will need some sort of
( Chip/bracelet/whatever they can think of that will be connected to us )
Basically an 9/11 of identity/computer breaches is coming which will be
many attacks and so that they will be able to bring the new system and people will beg for it

Equifax owes everyone affected monetary compensation for the mental anguish that this will bring years to come. I say $5 million to each person that was affected in the hack. What do you guys think?

I have been "selected" as a "lucky winner" in the game of "tag" that Equifax set up for us. You have to wait for a day to register for a free year of credit monitoring. I just as well assume it's just the nsa finding a way to gather statistics so I'll pay a third party to do it for me. Luckily my employer has been proactive with resources.

I was thinking that people could possibly sue those that passed your info onto Equifax.

But Im pretty sure you sign a release for them to do so when you apply for credit?

I dunno.

They are saying the best thing to donis put a Freeze on your credit, which Equifax is now offering for free??

I dunno

The One Move to Make After Equifax Breach
https://www.nbcnews.com/business/consume...ch-n800776

With the angry glare of the public eye squarely focused on Equifax after announcing a massive breach, the company is waiving fees on credit freezes. Which is good news because it's the only thing that's going to save your bacon.

The company had previously offered victims a free year of credit report monitoring — but customers and advocates were quick to point out that this wouldn't actually stop anyone's identity from getting exploited. Hackers would still be able to open up new credit cards and go on spending sprees, apply for other loans or mortgages, and leave you holding the bag for the debt or the bad name.

Glad I have bad credit.

You and Me both , Luv .

Never had " Credit " beyond a Bar Tab , due at closing .

Just hope they don't use the info to start collecting your social security or file fraudulent tax refunds on your behalf.

At street level, every proponent of the socialist "solution" either has no idea who installs it and runs it, or he astonishingly believes "the government" can be transformed into a beneficent enterprise and shed its core corruption, as it takes the reins of absolute power.

RE: Equifax hack, my kids future, what to do and NOT to do
Last I heard, the New York AG's office made contact with Equifax. The announcement from Equifax as a result of the inquiry is that the waiver of the right to sue ONLY applies to the offer of free credit monitoring, and NOT a waiver of a right to sue for the hacking.

yes this is what they wish and lust for

yet in reality, quantum mechanics allows for signals that will mutate upon being viewed. this means we can send messages with a "seal" that if it's viewed will show that the seal was broken.

meanwhile a simple bracelet/chip could easily be reverse engineered and then hacked. anything that broadcasts or receives a conventional wireless signal is easily intercepted.
