The temperature of matter being struck by solar radiation at the relative distance of 1AU from the sun is 250 degrees Fahrenheit. Temperature wise the matter that comprises the surface of the moon when in full view of the sun, is 250 degrees Fahrenheit. The Apollo missions to the moon 3 days out, up to 3 days there, and 3 days back were in full view of the sun for their complete duration.

It's insidious, the heat energy contained in the solar radiation striking the Apollo Spacecraft would have creeped through every square inch of the physical matter of its makeup via conduction, convection and radiation. This energy is single minded and doesn't feel pain or fear, sorrow or pity and it will absolutely not quit until every molecule of matter it can effect is 250 degrees Fahrenheit. To summarize, the spacecraft was in a oven and was an oven set at 250 degrees Fahrenheit. The seventy gallons of water that was provided for cooling would have been above it boiling point well before they ever got to the moon. To pretend man ever stepped on the moon is to pretend the laws of nature and physics somehow got suspended during their trip.

The spacestation has electrical power and an elaborate cooling system and it's in the shade during half its orbit dumping the heat it picked up while being in full view of the sun.

What a waste of words. I live at 1 au from the Sun and I am not 250 degrees F hot so no, that's a fail.

What a waste of words. You live where there is an elaborate cooling system. Try living here.

PERFECT? Far from, but like my Lord and Savior, I am, a left-leaning-liberal. Amen

I live at 1 au. There is no elaborate cooling system, there is however a thick atmosphere full of greenhouse gases that raises average temperature from what would be 0F, -18C to a liveable 59F 15C. https://www.giss.nasa.gov/research/briefs/ma_01/ Your premise is utter nonsense, the Moon is not hotter tham the Earth, on average, it is much colder.

I still can't get past the round shape of the moon as presented by the video.

That would be a fish-eye lens effect.

The astronaut is a faceless hero icon.

Maybe that is sort of what Jim Carrey was getting at.
He doesn't want to be known as an icon like that.

Fun fact: If you believe the earth is flat, you're probably inbred.

Here's why this is most likely true. Because no other group of people believes the earth is flat more than muslims. Muslims marry their 1st cousins.

So there you have it. The earth is flat because you're inbred.

This actually makes sense. lol

They could afford it if they would stop sucking their government funding into a thousand different research programs.

This is just a money beg.

You believe this crap about moon travel I have a uncle in Nigeria that needs to transfer 2.5 million to your bank account. All he needs is a name, address, SSN, and 250.00 to secure the funds.

Lmao
