It looks as though the bread and circuses have decided to make things more political now and are selecting who or what people can say or think. I say stop attending sporting events if this is where we are at right now.

I have stopped watching NFL this season.
And I have gave ESPN the finger by getting rid of cable.

organized sports at all levels has always been a mafia of sorts, only morons and idiots buy into that crap

real human beings have no need for fake competition, sports is actually homo-erotic, it's a substitute for gay sex, men who watch and participate in sports are latent fairies

I do not watch sports but I would never give up my cable. Around here you only get two channels with an antenna and one is fuzzy.

ISIS and many other terrorist organizations like the white supremacists and the KKK have the capability to make machine gun firing and grenade dropping drones that they do not need to get past a metal detector. Some drones are equipped with flame throwers or the equivalent of napalm,... So yes this maybe the time to stay out of open stadiums with 30,000 or more soccer fans or what have you.
BTW, it is also time to divest from any Florida and the Caribbean real estate deals.

It is also time to look both ways before crossing the street. Jhikpghf Scream1 doomed

Russian President Vladimir Putin presented Tillerson with the Order of Friendship.

It's a great year for kleptocratic regimes, oligarchies, plutocracies and autocratic hell holes.

I do enjoy the distraction but after ESPN fired Iron Mike Ditka for voting for D. Trump I don't know what to think.

ESPN wants to push a socialist agenda and hammer Trump so I'm done with them and cable tv. I miss hockey in particular but I'll never spend another dime on cable tv.

You forgot to mention that it most dangerous to attend sporting events on September 11th because of all the KKK mass shootings, and that there will be 7 more September 11s with Trump in office.

Long past time....

Professional sports is nothing but a weapon of mass distraction.

Just think of the information people could store in their heads if they were not wasting that space with batting statistics and other sports bullshit....

we could be on another world by now but we have idiots worried about some overpaid asswipe's ERA....

Playing with little balls is a child's activity. Or for those with a mind of a child. And sitting on your lazy ass watching other grown ups play with their little balls is even more ridiculous and embarrassing.

Sometimes I feel like the only adult on this daycare planet.

Good thread. It saddens me to see people waste so much time watching that stuff. I used to watch it too. I seemed different back then. Michael Jordan, Barry Sanders, Shaq, the Bulls vs the Pistons. I hated the Pistons. I remember when Barry Sanders ran roughshod over the cowboys one Monday night. It was beautiful. Yeah it was different back then.

Imagine the good that good be done with the billions spent on pro sports.

Boycott all sports.

It is nothing more than distractions.

The world has a lot going on and the fact that millions can block it all out and focus on how many yards some steroid eating f*cktard can run per down is astounding to me....

It really is....

and quote me often on this...

"a weapon of mass distraction"...

they are trying to get you to not pay attention and think about the sh*t they are doing....they want you distracted with some sh*t that does not solve anything....it does not solve the energy problem, it does not solve conflict, it does not solve world hunger....

but go ahead and worry about 3rd down conversions.....
