Eventually I'll write up the entire Cat Earth Theory from the Dawn of Time. I've been playing with the notion for over a half year now and have gone over a lot of it in my head. My alias has always been seasnake before even coming to L.O.P. and I've always used the same icon and snakes were the first gods and persisted as gods until cats came along and slayed the main snake god. Cats have been around several times longer than mankind has and the DNA of cats barely changed in all that time. It is my contention that they domesticated man, not the other way around. Man never used to be gods, cats used to be.

I've lived around Cats my whole life from very little and they've always been a companion during my dark times in my life. I respect and appreciate them very much. I bet that gets some thinking what a weirdo, I don't care if they do, they helped me emotionally. Even if it was all accordance to what they each expected back in return.

The 'Cat Earth Theory from the Dawn of Time' historical write up sounds like a fascinating endeavour and I'm not sure if you were the one who posted these links sometime ago on another thread:

The ancient Egypt link is awesome, one in which I wasn't familiar with on the role our furry friends played in those times. I booked marked those and I learned historical things about Cats I was unaware about. So please, go forwards and have a crack at it with the write up.

Now your alias seasnake is another one I am unfamiliar with, so thanks for that new piece of info on Snakes role in ancient history. And yes, Cats are the ones which domesticated Man chuckle I have always believed that from all the years I've been around them little arrogant Puddies, they are the best in my view. And I chose 'Puddycat' not because of the cartoon Sylvester, that name is what I called a little friend who passed away a long time ago. She woke me up by meow screaming directly into my ear.

The Dog / Cat Earth War Debate has been long going in the Earth Experiment
Both wolf kind and feline kind has been around longer than mankind
Man was made wolf kind and feline kind to arbitrage the wolf/feline world war/debate.
To this day, its been a stalemate.

More households in the U.S.A. have dogs, but cats have the numbers.
Households with cats have more cats than households with dogs have dogs.
Feral cats greatly exceed feral dogs as feral dogs aren't typically allowed.

RE: Cat Earth Theory
People were modeled after cats. Its why cats were the gods.
Unlike people, cats have an advanced whisker mapping system for balance.
Cats may seem quite a bit different than people, but check this out:

Humans and dogs share 84 percent of their DNA, which again, makes them useful animals to study human disease processes. Researchers are particularly interested in specific diseases that affect both dogs and humans. http://education.seattlepi.com/animals-s...-6693.html

I don't have any webpages. I have made a previous L.O.P. thread upon Bastet and the Catholic Church / Christianity. What I posted there turned very violent against the church. As to the first gods and the history of Earth, after the dinosaurs and before the mammals the planet was supposed to have been covered by snakes. The world snake from which the Earth was said to be made wrapped around the Earth and was the reason for its earthquakes and plate tectonics as the snake that wrapped the planet was said to be eating its own tail. Mammals came along in the family group forms of wolves and felines and apes, chimps, and man. When God created Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, the snake was already there cause the snake god preceded the Christian god. Bastet, the cat goddess, was the one who slew the serpent god, and Bastet was one of the gods that the Catholic church sought to wipe out and replace. Many of the Egyptian gods shape shifted into cats. You kill the cat and you severe its ties to the gods that came before the church. Look at all the words in the English language that starts with "cat", you will see quite of few of them refers to the Roman Catholic Church and quite a few of the words refer to cataclysms, destructions, and flood. Bastet was the protector of the family from evil and from disease. She protected children most of all, and she favored playful, scantly clad, free and loose women. Both women and men were her priests and both were seen as equals. Everything Bastet stood for, the Christian God tended to take an opposite stance upon. Bastet wouldn't allow her priests to have sex with their alter boys, and sure wouldn't hide and protect them from the authorities. Bastet would have you worship your household first, your household cats before even herself. Bastet had Mardis Gras before New Orleans did. Her city was the most beautiful city in ancient Egypt and the Mardis Gras type celebration was a parade of flat boats upon the riverway. The cat that the church hated the most was the black cat. Its kind of ironic that blacks became the slaves in the new order of the new world under the religion of christianity.

An Egyptian example of the common “trinity” of sacred tree-goddess-serpent also appearing in the Eden story. Here Nut as tree goddess nourishes the deceased and the deceased’s ba. The serpent is in its common guardian role, in an erect posture. From Nils Billing, Nut: The Goddess of Life in Text and Iconography https://mythologymatters.wordpress.com/2...n-of-eden/
