They also prolong lives beyond the natural expiration date.

Let me give you guys a clue.
Families insist that every possible intervention is made to keep their
parents and significant family members alive no matter what.

This continues right into the nursing homes where the patients wind up
if they ever get off the ventilators. The families are there to see to it that
those family members are given 24 7 care, every imaginable drug, therapy,
prevention from falls bumps bruises, and treatment that not even kings and queens
dreamed of in the past.

If anything is denied or goes wrong, BOOM, the documentation is presented to
the family lawyer and the endless litigation process begins where the care left off.

I sh*t you not.

The ancients were probably correct to have annual wars for fun, profit, for
bravery and for honor because it fostered strength, vitality, and nobility in the
community.

We must be self informed and self caring for. Learn as much as we can about herbs and natural treatments.

People have no clue what the baby boomers will bring, no clue.

Even the military veterans are like that.

A grandpa on the wife's side used to brag about having 23 operations.
The 24th or 25th is when he finally kicked the bucket.

The grandma was no better.
And one of her daughters was there to document everything
that went wrong to sue for her 4th or 5th time.

Most retirees have used several times more in medicare claims than they ever paid in.

They get new prosthetic limbs and by the time you retire you'll get aspirin if your lucky.

This will breed resentment like you've never ever seen, which of course the government will use to torment us further because you know, they never let a good crisis go to waste.

The only time they'll get me is when I am too old and feeble to resist them, if I ever reach that point. I have had very little contact with doctors, hospitals, etc. throughout my life, and don't plan on changing that course anytime soon.

The hospitals around my area are 'privately' owned. They were bought out several years back. I've heard of a lot of hospitals that are privately owned now across the nation.
All the makers of medications are privately owned aa well. When maximum profit is the ultimate goal then 'care' is no longer the main objective.

Until those things change, we can expect further decline in our medical system. The fad for the last few years has been lower skilled and lower paid CNA"s, to replace and do some of the things formerly done by skilled nurses.

The whole medical system needs to be revamped. Pharmaceutical companies have rode ramshod over everyone. They benefit FROM disease and illness and therefore do not want cures. Imagine the loss to them and cancer hospitals amd doctors if a cheap cure was found. They would never allow that. Ditto for other things as well.

As long as private companies run our medical industry it will never be for the good of the people.

I have had a ton of horrible personal experiences with the medical field, but one thing that I shall never forget is that my grandmother was in and out of rehabilitation clinics throughout my childhood cause she was constantly strung out on prescription medications to which my grandfather would constantly complain to the doctors about and beg them to not to prescribe her more and to take her off of being on so many. She was always taking 7 or 8 different types of medication every single day. I would go with my grandfather to see her on weekends as nobody else would go with him and though he apologized profusely to me about taking me with him, he found it too hard to always go alone. He was a tough guy, but he would break down and cry along the way there.

I believe the current statistics have 50% of the people in the U.S.A. on medications. I don't have a doctor, and I don't go to any.

I thought everyone was on 7-8 medications?

But I'm like you, severe distrust in doctors, I won't go.

I loved my grams, but she knew this. She had a severe DNR on file. She had an incident and medical treatment could have saved her but her DNR refused it. She was 92, it was what she wanted.

A lot of people are, they have addiction problems. The 50% figure I stated is accurate for the U.S.A., go ahead and look it up.

The truly scary thing is that you don't have to have any training, any medical degree, or any certification to own such establishment or the majority share of them. Though you can't practice medicine without a license that doesn't stop you from being able to set operating practices of those who work for you.

An even scarier thing is that insurance companies often shape such operating policies.

This is the most frustrating of topics to me. I try to explain this to people in my life and they just stare and blink when I say it. No one can comprehend what I'm saying. It's a complete attack on their belief system that is that doctors are gods and that they perform miracles with prescription medication.

No, they kill you.

The only possible way you can trust a doctor or a medical study is if they are looking for the cause of some disease and ways to prevent it from happening. There is no money in that (therefore there are no studies like that) and that is truly what a system that is based on care of fellow human beings would do.
