Just sit there waiting your turn quietly. Maybe roll a joint and practice your noose tying or something.. Just an idea. Cheer

I post for my entertainment purposes only, not yours.
I didn't read the comments, probably didn't read the OP either.

Contempt of court

Hmm, well kind of odd I haven't been dragged in or had a warrant issued for me then.

Depends on the judge and the jurisdiction.
I have seen a potential juror arrested for contempt for threatening to leave during jury selection.

Not reporting for jury duty is not a crime so what they gonna arrest you for?

Contempt of court

regular mail is not proof of service, they must send it registered mail, signature returned to prove that you did in fact receive it.

But you just make sh*t up dont ya, Dumbass

Being part of a jury is an honor and your only way to change the legal system from the inside. YOU will have a chance to view the facts that no outside source has. YOU then can analyze these facts in determining someone's innocence or guilt. I would like to think that people on this forum are interested in justice and facts.
Perhaps some are not. I'd never try to dodge a chance to do the right thing for someone.

RE: THIS is how you get out of Jury Duty...........
I can remember being called in for a county grand jury. They got to the 12th juror and called my name. Talk about being bummed out. But it worked out pretty well. Everything was held in a conference room and I sat right across from the prosecutor. After the vote you can pretty much ask the prosecutor anything related to the 'case'. Plus you get to watch the prosecutor question law enforcement and that is worth its weight in gold.

It was a semi rural county so we had a light 'case' load. It was a good experience and I learned quite a bit.....
