Shocking footage has emerged appearing to show a dead body fall out of a hearse and roll across a busy intersection.

The incident was captured on a motorist's dashcam as he drove in central Auckland, New Zealand on Wednesday afternoon.

The man who saw the gurney rolling across the road told the New Zealand Herald he believed a body was on it after hearing a bang as he pulled up to the lights.

That would be an awesome gag to pull if you were a comedian troupe.

Maybe have a dummy in the bag wired to a remote control so it could move and protest a little bit when you go get it so you can give it a few thumps before rolling it back in?
