Death doesn't change the life lived. The dead to not earn respect due to lifes inevitably.

50:51 was apparently a friend or comrade to some, for others he was a fundamentalist with a very poor grasp of reality and as a result cast condemnation and judgement upon most.

I hope in the real world he experienced love and friendship. I shudder to think that those claiming they gave it here were as good as he got.

I hope so too, but people struggling with the mental illness stamp and poverty often don't have very large social circles.

I liked him. If he at least sometimes was entertained, maybe even had a certain sense of comradery here and there in all these years, thats good enough for me.

People seem to forget we have always been a dysfunctional family here Lmao

Perhaps his very sad death and everything connected with it can let in a little bit more light to the dark ones who post along side us, infrequent visitors and long time regulars alike.

Just curious, did you know 51:50' real name ?

Are you certain that it was him ?

He was a preacher, he told us his real name...
His ministry failed at some point...
I imagine with his failing health he no longer had the energy for it...

It might've had something to do with wishing death and destruction upon billions of people, but I don't know for sure..

I dig that signature pic SS, I came within a hair of getting a bobcat kitten a couple years ago but the wife had a fit over it. 1500 bucks is alot of money, but man what an awesome critter.

Suffering from mental illness does not give a person the right to attack people and threaten them with hellfire.

Ban me if you wish, but the man was a thorn on your site, always bringing negative energy.

He got angry and flounced every time people stood up to his cult.

Perhaps he made perfect sense, and it is you who fail to comprehend.

Doubtful.

Many mentally ill people have been doing the very same and more since the beginning of time and yet not a single damn thing they've ever said has been relevant or become reality in any way at all.

I highly doubt this example is any different.

May he rest in peace.

Yes ok there is a story to this...

A few years ago I found out where my great grandfathers farm was.

And that a relative still lived on the farm.

It was a cattle farm but now operates as a nursery.

My great grandfathers house collapsed in a heavy snow so no longer exist...

His 1880's One room schoolhouse amazingly still exist...

So we, Me and my carpenter friend went camping to the state forest in Black river falls. As far as I can tell this is the closest place to Chicago that has bears.

This campground's well has had a well liner failure and there is no money to fix it. The water is drinkable but orange.

To get drinkable clear water you go to a state highway rest area.

So we go up and visit my great great grandfathers grave and his wifes grave.

Then the farm.

The plan was next to go up to the national park campground.
But someone knocked down the sign and we could not find the campground.

We did see a sign for a camping club campground, it was getting dark so we decided to go there and pay them to camp.

However it turned out to be free. This town had put up a free campground to bring in tourism. It has totally failed to do so but the people in town were having so much fun with it they have kept it going.

Anyways there are bears. I have seen one crossing the road here, a lot of deers, wolves (I am quite nervous having them around), And I heard a bobcat but did not see him. Oh and one time a bear raided the garbage can at night. I did not see him.

---

To fix the well would cost $5,000 and no one will give the ranger the money todo it.

What makes it worse is it passes water quality test although it is orange.

My mom had the same problem with her well, and every sink and tub in the place was stained orange. They told her the same thing, that it was ok to drink. I don't remember what they said it was... it wasn't iron but some other metal I don't recall. I don't know how many times I declined a glass of tea or water but nobody wanted to drink it LOL.
Looks like an awesome place, I'm from a fairly rural area in the southern Appalachians so I can appreciate the scenery there for sure.
A friend of ours has about ten of fifteen black bears that come through her place, she was feeding the damn things until one of them reared up on her and took a piece of her hand with it. They loose the cute real quick but I managed to get some awesome videos of them.
Ah well I don't want to hijack a memorial thread, but celebrating life and beauty isn't too far off topic I guess. Too bad you can't get a piece of that land, it looks awesome.
