So happy to hear that this freakish Eastern Washington representative is calling it quits, after so many stupid and disgusting and religious war wanting actions. Jhikpghf

Washington Republican won’t seek reelection after investigation says he ‘engaged in domestic terrorism’

"Republican state Rep. Matt Shea announced that he will not seek reelection after an investigation said that he “engaged in domestic terrorism.”

According to The Seattle Times, the Washington official didn’t file to run again for his office, though he did file to run as a Republican precinct committee officer.

Shea participated in a trio of standoffs against the government, which was investigated by a House commission. That report was then forwarded to the FBI and the U.S. Attorney’s Office, saying Shea assisted “in the planning and preparation” of the 2016 armed takeover at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in Eastern Oregon. He was part of an armed occupation at the refuge with militia leader Ammon Bundy, who was part of the 2014 standoff at the Bundy Ranch. The Bundy’s refused to pay for grazing rights after allowing their cattle to graze on federal lands without paying for it.

Shea says he’s part of a “Marxist smear campaign” and “a coup.” He also has a history of conspiracy theories from private messages that were revealed last year.

“Just a few days ago, state officials said they billed Shea for more than $4,700 in damages after the lawmaker apparently poured olive oil on the steps of the Capitol in the waning days of the legislative session as part of a counter-demonstration of a permitted event held by Satanists,” said the Times.

RE: Far right militant NEWS Updates:
Report for May 20, 2020:

Incel terrorism is a growing factor of the new hate filled far right freaks.

Canada lays first ever terror charges in a murder linked to misogynist ‘incel’ movement

"A 17-year-old accused of murdering a woman at a Toronto massage parlour has become the first person in Canada to be charged with terrorism over his suspected ties to the misogynist “incel” movement.

The young man was originally charged in February in the stabbing death of a 24-year-old woman in downtown Toronto.

Another woman and a man were also injured in the attack.

On Tuesday, police announced that they were adding terrorism charges after discovering that the teen had allegedly been inspired by the “incel” movement, an online group of women-hating men who describe themselves as “involuntary celibate.”

Members of the loose collective have targeted attractive and sexually active women and men with violence and online vitriol.

But this case marks the first time in Canada that police have recognized an allegedly misogynistic crime as terrorism.

“The accused was inspired by the ideologically motivated violent extremist movement,” the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) said in a statement.

“Terrorism comes in many forms and it’s important to note that it is not restricted to any particular group, religion or ideology,” it added.

Anti-violence advocates and legal scholars told Canadian media this was a watershed moment for Canada’s 2001 anti-terrorism act, and also possibly a global first.

If the young man is convicted of murder he would face an automatic life sentence or 25 years in prison before being eligible for parole.

The “incel” group made headlines in Canada in 2018 when a man claiming to have been part of the movement drove a rented van onto a busy Toronto sidewalk, killing 10 people — mostly women — and injuring 14 others.

The attacker, Alek Minassian, faces trial for murder, but has never been charged with terrorism.

About 60 terrorism charges have been laid in Canada over the past two decades, but most have been linked to Al Qaeda or the Islamic State group."

Michigan Pandemic Denialist Arrested In Attempt To Steal Copter, Attack Hospital To 'Free' COVID Patients
A 70-year-old man reputed to be a member of the Michigan Militia attempted to steal a Coast Guard helicopter in the hope that he could fly it to a local hospital and use its guns to shoot up the place, claiming he wanted to “free” victims of coronavirus from their quarantines.

"The unhinged conspiracism that has infected the public discourse surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic continues to inspire both real and attempted acts of violence—along the lines of the Missouri man who intended to bomb a hospital, the people setting 5G towers aflame, the locomotive engineer who tried to ram the USNS Mercy, or the “spam Boi” who planned to ambush police officers.

The latest: A 70-year-old man named Jesse McFadden—reputed to be a member of the Michigan Militia—attempted to steal a Coast Guard helicopter earlier this week in the hope that he could fly it to a local hospital and use its guns to shoot up the place, claiming he wanted to “free” victims of the novel coronavirus from their quarantines. He didn’t make it far, and was arrested and charged.

The incident at the Coast Guard station in Essexville began Sunday when a man later identified as McFadden called an Arenac County dispatcher and reported that he planned to steal a helicopter so that he could shoot up a local hospital. He said he “wanted to disrupt the power to the hospital, unlock the doors, and release patients under the COVID-19 quarantine,” according to a criminal complaint filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court by the arresting Coast Guard officers.

After he hung up, the dispatcher alerted Arenac County deputies and provided information about McFadden’s previous criminal history. In the meantime, McFadden himself drove to the Coast Guard station in Essexville in a pickup truck, pulled up to the gate, and began punching buttons on the security keypad in an attempt to get the gate to open. He then called the command communications center via the phone line at the gate and demanded they open it, but the personnel there declined even as McFadden threatened to ram the gate with his truck before he drove off.

A Michigan state trooper found McFadden about 40 minutes later at an Essexville gas station while he was inside. The officer confronted McFadden when he came out. In the passenger seat of McFadden’s pickup was a shotgun loaded with five shells. When the officer attempted to confiscate it, a struggle ensued in which McFadden hit the trooper, but he eventually was subdued with a Taser and taken into custody.

According to a Hampton Township police spokesman, police were on high alert because McFadden’s previous criminal history included assault on a police officer. "We were told this could be an ex-Michigan Militia guy, possibly having machine guns and or M-16's," he told WJRT-TV.

Healthcare workers have already been dealing with a deluge of threats and ugly behavior at the hands of conspiracy theorists who believe the COVID-19 pandemic is a hoax."

Wow that is a sh*t load of weapons. I expect anybody that sees this jerk is now planning on getting into his car trunk and taking all of that delicious gun and ammo swag away from these dangerous freaks. Jhikpghf I mean how many guns can you fit into a car trunK, enough to start a war apparently.

This is your person of interest, keep a look out for his vehicle.

Colorado cops seize weapons and military gear from ‘spam Boys’ after George Floyd protest

"Colorado police seized military-style weapons and ammunition from so-called “spam Boys” who took part in weekend protests of police brutality.

Chevy McGee, a 20-year-old anti-government activist from Fort Collins, was stopped Friday evening near a downtown Denver protest, and police said they were called to investigate whether someone in McGee’s group was wearing a plate-carrier vest, reported the Colorado Times Recorder.

“Shout out to Denver PD for stealing our sh*t last night,” McGee posted on his Facebook account. “None of this left the trunk of our car, and they said they had reasonable suspicion because someone called that’s why they searched it. They cuffed us and let us go after 30 minutes.”

Some of McGee’s social media associates mocked him for allowing police to seize the guns without a fight, but he said officers caught the group as they changed out of clothes covered in pepper spray.

McGee said he and his fellow “spam Boys” offered water to protesters and shouted profanity at police, but did not take any firearms because open carry is prohibited under Denver law.

spam supporters — loosely organized anti-government gun enthusiasts who congregate online to prepare for what they believe is an inevitable second civil war — did carry rifles in the weekend’s protests in Salt Lake City and other areas where open carry is permitted.

“We wanted to go to help people, this was not a protest to open carry for us,” McGee told the Times Recorder. “Our main goal was to aid the injured. We both agreed this is not the time to try to carry etc, but we always keep our [guns & gear] in the trunk no matter what because the Constitution allows us to. We would love to eventually try to open carry in Denver but not for this protest.”

McGee made news last month after his associate Brad Bunn was arrested for possessing a pipe bomb.

The pair had been planning to illegally open carry rifles at a May 1 “reopen Colorado” protest, but the plan fell apart after FBI agents and Larimer County sheriff’s deputies raided Bunn’s house that morning."

Demands for Trump Removal Grow as 'Fascist' Speech Condemned as Declaration of War Against US Public
"Trump needs to be removed now, because after the massacre it will be too late."

"President Donald Trump's pledge Monday evening to deploy the full force of the U.S. military against demonstrators protesting the killing of George Floyd—and the president's authorization of police violence against peaceful protesters to clear the way for a photo-op—amounted in the eyes of lawmakers, rights groups, and commentators to "declaration of war" against the U.S. public that must result in Trump's removal from office.

Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) characterized Trump's remarks from the Rose Garden of the White House as a "fascist speech" that "verged on a declaration of war against American citizens" who have taken to the streets across the nation to condemn police brutality and racial injustice.

"The president of the United States tear-gassed peaceful protestors in order to clear the way for a useless photo-op outside the White House—just after vowing to activate the military against our own people. Lives and our democracy are in danger."
—Sen. Elizabeth Warren
"I fear for our country tonight and will not stop defending America against Trump's assault," Wyden tweeted.

Other progressive lawmakers similarly condemned Trump's address, during which the president vowed to deploy " thousands and thousands of heavily armed soldiers, military personnel, and law enforcement officers," to the streets of the nation's capital.

Following his speech, the president walked from the White House to St. John's Episcopal Church as police officers swinging batons and hurling tear gas canisters cleared the streets of peaceful demonstrators. The ACLU demanded an immediate investigation into the president's approval of "politically-motivated and life-threatening use of indiscriminate weapons" against the crowds of protesters.

After police officers and military personnel forcefully removed demonstrators from his path, Trump arrived at the church and hoisted a Bible for the cameras. The White House Monday night posted an edited video of the president's walk on Twitter which includes zero indication that, as Trump casually strolled to St. John's, protesters were being brutally attacked for his benefit.

"The president of the United States tear-gassed peaceful protestors in order to clear the way for a useless photo-op outside the White House—just after vowing to activate the military against our own people," tweeted Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.). "Lives and our democracy are in danger."

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) slammed Trump for having "peaceful demonstrators viciously attacked."

"This is not a dictatorship," tweeted Sanders. "This is the United States of America. Our citizens have a constitutional right to peacefully protest. It's called the First Amendment.""

In 'Unhinged' Call, Trump Urges Governors to 'Use the Military' and Throw Demonstrators in Jail 'For 10 Years'
"He's describing fascism."

"Shortly after several media outlets reported on President Donald Trump's remarks during a call with U.S. governors Monday morning, The Daily Beast obtained and published the full audio of the call:

Clip of audio at link:

Earlier:

President Donald Trump reportedly ripped U.S. governors in a conference call Monday morning for failing to do enough to "dominate" the tens of thousands of people who have taken to the streets across the U.S. to protest the police killing of George Floyd.

The president urged state leaders to crack down even more harshly on demonstrators—who have already been treated brutally by law enforcement—with mass arrests and lengthy prison sentences.

"You have to dominate, if you don't dominate you're wasting your time," Trump said, according to audio of the call obtained by CBS News. "They're going to run over you, you're going to look like a bunch of jerks. You have to dominate."

Trump called on state officials to track demonstrators and hit them with a decade in prison as a deterrent against future protests. "You've got to arrest people, you have to track people, you have to put them in jail for 10 years and you'll never see this stuff again," Trump said.

"This is fascism," tweeted Evan Greer, deputy director of internet privacy group Fight for the Future. "He's describing fascism."

One anonymous person listening in on the call told Ed O'Keefe of CBS that the president's tone and words during the call were "unhinged."

The Washington Post, citing three anonymous officials who were on the call, reported that Trump pressed governors to "take back the streets and use force to confront protesters and said if they did not, they would look like 'fools,' alarming several governors on the call as they communicated privately."

"You have to use the military," Trump said, according to the Post.

Trump's comments came hours after thousands of people poured into the streets of Washington, D.C. and other major cities around the U.S. over the weekend to protest Floyd's killing at the hands of Minneapolis police officers. On Friday night, according to the New York Times, Trump was rushed into a secure and underground bunker by Secret Service agents as protests erupted outside the White House.

While Trump has yet to deliver a formal address to the nation on Floyd's killing and the uprising it sparked, the president has tweeted out incendiary threats against demonstrators and criticized local officials for not being sufficiently brutal in their handling of the mass protests.

On Saturday, the president said the U.S. military "can have troops on the ground" in Minneapolis "very quickly."

"We have our military ready, willing, and able, if they ever want to call our military," Trump said.

Illinois Gov. J. B. Pritzker, a Democrat, reportedly raised alarm about Trump's response to the nationwide demonstrations during the conference call Monday morning.

"I have been extraordinarily concerned with the rhetoric coming out of the White House making it worse," said Pritzker. "People are feeling real pain out there. We have to have national leadership in calling for calm.""

White Supremacist Congressman Steve King Defeated In Shock GOP Primary
A coalition of GOP figures, seeing King as a liability for the party, had supported the campaign of his opponent, former state Sen. Randy Feenstra.

"Steve King, the white supremacist congressman from Iowa, was defeated in a shocking Republican primary Tuesday, bringing an end to the long legislative career of one of Washington’s most explicit bigots.

Former Iowa state Sen. Randy Feenstra defeated King to earn the GOP nomination for Iowa’s 4th Congressional District, according to The New York Times. Feenstra will now face Democrat J.D. Scholten in the general election this November.

“I am truly humbled by the outpouring of support over the past 17 months that made tonight possible and I thank Congressman King for his decades of public service,” Feenstra said in a statement Tuesday night. “As we turn to the General Election, I will remain focused on my plans to deliver results for the families, farmers and communities of Iowa. But first, we must make sure this seat doesn’t land in the hands of Nancy Pelosi and her liberal allies in Congress.”

King spent nine terms in Congress and became notorious for his comments about Latinos, Muslims, Blacks and queer people. While a close ally and supporter of President Donald Trump, King had a falling out with the GOP rank-and-file last year after making remarks condoning white supremacy.

“White nationalist, white supremacist, Western civilization — how did that language become offensive?” King told The New York Times during a January interview about immigration. “Why did I sit in classes teaching me about the merits of our history and our civilization?”"

Three right-wing ‘spam’ militants arrested on terrorism charges in Las Vegas: report

On Wednesday, federal prosecutors announced that three far-right militants with ties to the “spam” movement have been arrested on terrorism-related charges in Las Vegas, according to The Seattle Times.

“Federal prosecutors say the three white men with U.S. military experience are accused of conspiring to carry out a plan that began in April in conjunction with protests to reopen businesses closed because of the coronavirus and later sought to capitalize on protests over the death of a Minneapolis man in police custody,” reported Michelle Price and Scott Sonner.

According to the complaint, the defendants initially met at a “ReOpen Nevada” rally protesting coronavirus lockdowns.

The report continued: “They were arrested Saturday on the way to a protest in downtown Las Vegas after filling gas cans at a parking lot and making Molotov cocktails in glass bottles, according to a copy of the criminal complaint obtained by The Associated Press.”

“The complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Las Vegas on Wednesday said they self-identified as part of the ‘spam’ movement, which U.S. prosecutors said in the document is ‘a term used by extremists to signify coming civil war and/or fall of civilization,'” said the report. “Stephen T. Parshall, 35, Andrew T. Lynam Jr., 23, and William L. Loomis, 40, were being held on $1 million bond each in the Clark County jail Wednesday, according to court records.”

Virginia Man Inspired by Incel Killer Elliot Rodger Was Making Bomb: Feds
Federal court documents say Cole Carini, 23, fantasized about blowing up a shopping mall to get revenge on “hot cheerleaders.”

"A Virginia man inspired by notorious “incel” mass shooter Elliott Rodger fantasized about blowing up a shopping mall and killing “hot cheerleaders,” according to an FBI affidavit.

On June 2, Cole Carini of Richlands, Virginia, showed up at the Clinch Valley Medical Center with a missing hand. Several fingers on Carini’s other hand were also gone, and he had shrapnel wounds to the neck and throat. A local sheriff’s deputy arrived to interview Carini, who claimed his gruesome injuries were the result of a gardening accident.

But something didn’t add up. Police, who knew Carini had previously been convicted on explosives charges, got a search warrant for his home and called in the FBI.

When investigators got to the residence, they found a trail of blood leading from a red minivan parked in the driveway to the front door of the house, and up the stairs to a second-floor bedroom, according to the affidavit. After stepping over a “flesh colored substance that...looked like a piece of human skin,” cops found a plastic bottle filled with triacetone triperoxide, or TATP, a “substance used in the creation of improvised explosive devices,” inside a footlocker.

Beside the footlocker was a box filled with rusty nails, and a plastic container, the top of which had been “peeled back in a manner consistent with an explosion,” the affidavit says. The blinds in the room were damaged, and a chunk of flesh was stuck to the ceiling.

Down the street, agents discovered more evidence by a shed behind Carini’s grandmother’s house: PVC pipes, pieces of loose wires, empty chemical containers, and a pit that appeared to have been the site of an explosion. Inside the shed, they turned up a hot plate, coffee cups with white, crystal-like residue inside them, a battery with wires attached to it, and a crumpled, partially legible letter laying on the ground.

“He casually walked through the shopping mall, his jacket concealed deadly objects,” the letter read, parts of which were illegible. “He was doing it and was assured it must be done. Even if he died this statement was worth it! He had...of tension that would come and go as he approached the stage of hot cheerleaders...A dead seriousness sank in as he realized he was truly passing the point of no return! He decided I will not back down I will not be afraid of the consequences no matter what I will be heroic I will make a statement like Elliott Rodgers [sic] did he thought to himself.”"

Report for June 7, 2020:

So Russia intelligence under Putin's orders, are clearly supporting these "terror trainings" to German neo-fascist and probably other European neo-nazi domestic terror groups, to help destabilize the EU nations and they would be happy to train US neo-nazi's in terror tactics also, to further destabilize the US.

Putin's Russia is a failed mafia state, it supports criminal far right biker gangs, dealing drugs and acting as goons and thugs for the dirty deeds that Putin's intelligence forces find too incriminating to get involved in personally.

The EU and the US and the UK have to work against Russia and its terror training of far right goons and soon to be terrorists. Jhikpghf

German Neo Nazis Are Getting Explosives Training at a White Supremacist Camp in Russia
German attendance at a camp in St. Petersburg highlights the growing cooperation between white supremacist groups internationally.

"German neo-Nazis have been getting military-style training at camps run by a far-right Russian terrorist organization, German media reported Friday, in the latest sign of deepening international cooperation between white supremacist networks.

Citing intelligence sources, German news magazine Focus reported that the extremists had attended a camp held near Saint Petersburg, where they were shown how to use weapons and explosives, and received close combat training.

The training camp, known as Partizan, is run by the Russian Imperial Movement (RIM), an ultranationalist, quasi-paramilitary organization which claims to be fighting for the “predominance of the white race.”

The U.S. government added RIM to its list of specially designated global terrorist groups in April — the first time it had taken such action against a white supremacist organization — saying it had “provided paramilitary-style training to white supremacists and neo-Nazis in Europe.”

The Russian government considers RIM to be extremist, but has not banned the group.

The German extremists who attended the camp belonged to the youth wings of two fringe German political parties widely considered to be neo-Nazi movements: the National Democratic Party and The Third Path. The Focus report did not provide further details of their attendance at the camp, but said that extremists from Sweden and Finland had previously attended the camps and gone on to fight in pro-separatist militias in eastern Ukraine.

Experts told VICE News that the German attendance at the camp highlighted the growing cooperation between white supremacist groups internationally, as they sought to build relationships with allies in other countries.

“It signals that RIM is a critical node in the transnational white supremacy extremist movement,” said Mollie Saltskog, intelligence analyst at The Soufan Group. “RIM is going beyond networking and ideology, and is actually providing paramilitary training to individuals who adhere to this violent ideology."

Kacper Rekawek, an affiliated researcher for the Counter Extremism Project, said that Russia and Ukraine had become important hubs for the transnational white supremacist movement, where permissive government attitudes towards militant far-right groups has effectively created a safe space for extremists to network or receive military-style training.

“I don’t think these [German] guys would be able to do this sort of thing anywhere in Europe,” he told VICE News.

Like Ukraine’s far-right Azov movement, RIM’s standing in the international white supremacist scene has been boosted by its involvement in the war in Ukraine, where its military wing, the “Imperial Legion,” fought on the side of pro-Russian separatists.

Rekawek said RIM had acted as a “conveyor belt” for fighters into the Ukraine conflict, amplifying its appeal to extremists from other countries who wanted to increase their capacity for violence.

“They have the street cred,” he said. “They’re saying, ‘We’ve got the experience, we’re the real deal.’”

While no Americans are known to have participated in the camps, RIM has also forged ties with American white supremacists. According to a report by The Soufan Center, RIM developed close ties with Matthew Heimbach, founder of the neo-Nazi Traditionalist Worker Party in the U.S., and an organizer of the infamous Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. Heimbach, who claims to have renounced his white nationalist views, welcomed a RIM delegation to the U.S. in 2017, and had reportedly received invitations to train with RIM, said Saltskog."

Another report for June 7, 2020:

So sad, this story. Tissue So glad this guy will be in prison for a long time.

Even Without Bathroom Bills, Restrooms Can Be Terrifying for Trans People
A cis man in Oregon was convicted of a hate crime last week after brutally beating a trans woman for using a women's restroom.

"Bathroom bills might have fallen out of favor among Republican lawmakers who want to make trans people’s lives as difficult as possible—the transphobic legislation du jour are bills that would ban trans kids’ access to puberty blockers and other forms of life-saving health care if passed—but that doesn’t mean that trans people’s bathroom access is any less fraught than it used to be.

Case in point: Lauren Jackson, a trans woman from Oregon who was brutally attacked on Aug. 24, 2019 after emerging from a state park’s women’s restroom. Last Wednesday, Fred Costanza—a cis man who was charged with assault, harassment, disorderly conduct, and a felony hate crime—was convicted of a first-degree bias crime last Wednesday thanks in part to the state’s hate crime laws, which were updated to include gender identity as a protected status a month before the incident. The Oregon court also found him guilty of second-degree assault and harassment, as CNN reported last Friday.

Witnesses told police that Costanza walked more than 100 yards across the park to assault Jackson, shattering her jaw and fracturing her skull, per The Oregonian. Prior to the attack, he shouted epithets at her, according to an interview Jackson gave to local ABC affiliate KATU.

"He just comes up and starts yelling something about me being a lady, thinking I’m a lady,” Jackson said. “I just stand there and I don’t say anything. I don’t raise my hands. And he just blindsides me from the beginning and the rest was him dragging me around and continuing to punch me, and I’m just screaming. Someone heard and ran across the park and tackled this guy off of me."

Jackson’s experience reflects one facet of the violence that many trans people risk daily from cis men and women alike. Nearly one-quarter of respondents to the National Center for Trans Equality’s 2015 survey of trans Americans said that someone had questioned or challenged their presence in a public restroom in the past year, and one in eight said that they’d been verbally harassed, physically attacked, or sexually assaulted while using such a facility. More than half of respondents said they’d avoided using a public restroom because of this potential threat, resulting in urinary tract infections, kidney infections, and other kidney-related problems among nearly one in 10 of survey participants.

It’s unclear whether Costanza’s conviction offers Jackson any peace. Some trans people might feel that justice was served in this case—a rare instance in which the harm enacted on an oft-ignored group finally gets attention from the criminal justice system. Others, myself included, might find little comfort in such carceral solutions, instead hoping for a world where they can use the restroom in peace, where their safety doesn’t depend on the threat of prison time."

RE: Far right militant NEWS Updates:
Report for June8, 2020:

Wow this is sort of expected and sad.

Virginia man who plowed his truck into Black Lives Matter crowd is the head of the state’s Ku Klux Klan

"Over the weekend, a Virginia man was arrested for driving his truck into a crowd of protesters. It has now been revealed that the accused, Harry H. Rogers, is also the head of the Virginia chapter of the Ku Klux Klan.

WTVR News reported Monday that Rogers was charged by police with attempted malicious wounding (a felony), destruction of property (also a felony), and assault and battery (a misdemeanor) after the incident. When he was arrested, Rogers confessed to officers he is the president of the Ku Klux Klan in the state and claimed to be the highest-ranking member of the Klan that is not in prison.

“The accused, by his own admission and by a cursory glance at social media, is an admitted leader of the Ku Klux Klan and a propagandist for Confederate ideology,” said Henrico County Commonwealth’s Attorney Shannon Taylor in a statement. “We are investigating whether hate crimes charges are appropriate.”

“While I am grateful that the victim’s injuries do not appear to be serious, an attack on peaceful protesters is heinous and despicable and we will prosecute to the fullest extent of the law,” she also said. “We lived through this in Virginia in Charlottesville in 2017. I promise Henricoans that this egregious criminal act will not go unpunished. Hate has no place here under my watch.”

Those who experienced the attack recalled that the “vehicle revved their engine” before he “drove through the protesters occupying the roadway,” said the Henrico Police spokesperson.

No one was seriously injured physically."

RE: Far right militant NEWS Updates:
Report for June 13, 2020:

More US military anti government domestic terrorists. WTF is going on?

The word filter changes Boo-ga-loo to spam.

Accused California Cop Killer Linked To Right-Wing Extremist Boo-ga-loo Movement
Air Force Sgt. Steven Carrillo has been charged with 19 felonies in the death of a Santa Cruz County deputy sheriff and for alleged pipe-bomb attacks.

"An active-duty U.S. Air Force sergeant charged in the fatal shooting last week of a Santa Cruz County, California, deputy sheriff and critically injuring another has been linked to the militant right-wing spam movement.

Steven Carrillo, 32, is also a suspect in the fatal shooting last month of Federal Protective Services officer Dave Patrick, who was patrolling a federal building during nearby anti-racism protests in Oakland, a law enforcement source told the San Jose Mercury News.

Carrillo allegedly scrawled the letters “boog,” for spam, in blood on the hood of a car along with a phrase linked to the group as he fled police last Saturday, NBC News reported. “spam” is code for a violent insurrection by the right-wing followers.

The phrase written on the car, “I became unreasonable,” is part of a call to arms by members of the group who appear on social media sites armed and urging followers to “become unreasonable.” It’s not clear whose blood was used; Carrillo was shot by police before his capture.

A former friend told the Mercury News that Carrillo was sharing memes of the spam movement in his Facebook comments.

Carrillo was charged Thursday with 19 felonies, including murder in the death of Sgt. Damon Gutzwiller, attempted murder involving four law enforcement officers and a local resident, along with explosives charges and carjacking charges after the rampage in Ben Lomond, California, where Carrillo lived with his father.

Gutzwiller and Deputy Alex Spencer were allegedly ambushed by Carrillo as they responded to a call from a concerned resident, according to the complaint. Carrillo lobbed pipe bombs at other officers responding and hijacked a car in a bid to escape, according to court documents.

News of the violent attack on law enforcement comes as President Donald Trump and Attorney General William Barr have repeatedly accused left-wing “anarchists” and members of antifa of fomenting violence in largely peaceful anti-racism protests across the nation in the wake of the brutal police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis. Arrest records reveal scant evidence backing that claim.

Last week, however, three men linked to the spam movement were arrested and charged with state and federal conspiracy violations for allegedly plotting to trigger violence at anti-racism protests in Las Vegas. They were also accused of possessing Molotov cocktails.

One of the last messages attributed to Carrillo on Facebook, which has since been removed, was a post on a group gun site of the video of police in Buffalo, New York, shoving a 75-year-old man to the ground, where he appeared to be knocked unconscious and was bleeding from his ear, according to NBC. Trump tweeted Tuesday that he suspected the injured peace activist, Martin Gugino, still recovering in a hospital with a brain injury, was part of some kind of left-wing conspiracy and not a victim of police violence.

Online spam messaging has grown “increasingly extreme” in the wake of pandemic lockdowns and protests over Floyd’s death, according to a report by the independent nonprofit organization Network Contagion Research Institute.

“Elements of The spam have evolved from a gathering of militia enthusiasts and Second Amendment advocates into a full-fledged violent extremist group, which inspires lone wolf actors and cell-like actors alike,” institute Director Joel Finkelstein told NBC News. He said researchers believe more attacks on law enforcement are “almost inevitable.”"
