So who's gonna steer the boat?

(this is not callout.... Unlike what some of you might think)

What's planar navigation?

Ships sailed the seas way before 1876

"The earliest reliably documented mention of the spherical Earth concept dates from around the 6th century BC when it appeared in ancient Greek philosophy but remained a matter of speculation until the 3rd century BC"

Yup... Successfully for thousands of years using the stars which still haven't changed relative positions to one another, and even later using compasses that have to be set flat and level... odd considering that on the side of a globe they should point downwards and to the north. Oddly enough planar navigation is still used today, if you simply try to follow longitudinal lines southward, you will continually find yourself out of reckoning increasingly the further south you go... how odd. Circumnavigating Antarctica, several ships logged around 70,000 miles, how strange considering that's nearly three times the globe's circumference at the equator. I think you're in for a long hard thread.

Flatearthers have no concept of scale. Space is big, parallax is small.

As for modern navigation, I hope there are a lot of floating cell towers for their GPSs.

When you arrive on that cruise (of which I'm sure you'll attend if your a real FE person) ask the ships captain how navigation works..
Especially your "planar navigation"..

Be sure to add your findings to lop

LOL Ships got around pretty good when the earth was flat. They get around pretty good today using the stars as well. Go figure. Good luck with your thread, I'm sure it will be quite a show.

Not one scientist can explain how the stars have stayed in their relative position for thousands of years as we spin and hurtle through ‘space’ at tens of thousands of miles per hour.

Science is pure mind f*ckery especially when it comes to ‘outer space’...

Also, aeroplanes function on that notion. So does telecoms, also any understanding of seasons and weather is based on the notion earth is a sphere. Must we throw ever proven meteorological concept out the window too? Summer? Winter? It all becomes fallacy if flat earth is true, our very concept of reality and all working sciences,,, they might as well present the lore of skyrim as fact.

Hmmm

Any idea how far away those tiny stars are?

Concept of time and distance

Not relevant to the thread, sorry.
