Funny,it dont say he was brain.dead at all, just one part of his brain was inactive,so no it was no near death experiance, more likely just a dream or a naturally occuring dmt realease.
How anyone can say its proof of heaven I dont know, well you would if you had a book to sell to gullible people.

Did you even read the article? I think not, or you would have found something with more substance to complain about.

Read carefully,u canread right? Even if he.did go.braindead, the body will realease dmt at that moment,if he didny it could easily be a dream or trick of the brain, both scenarios are possible in my statement. You obviously don't read and understand fully.the contents if a post,what.did.u skim and the first sentence and decide haey,i can troll this!
Dumbass.

So he had a near death experience when his brain released a massive amount of DMT.... Hardly see that as proof for the existence of heaven...

[i]The message had three parts, and if I had to translate them into earthly language, I’d say they ran something like this:

You are loved and cherished, dearly, forever.”

“You have nothing to fear.”

“There is nothing you can do wrong.”

Knocks most religions on it ass, doesnt it!!

Yes, it can. Hugs

“You are loved and cherished, dearly, forever.”

“You have nothing to fear.”

“There is nothing you can do wrong.”

I find this deeply comforting.

Jhikpghf Hugs

God/The Creator is the purest, unconditional love. Religious dogma is man made and tries to control you. I believe everyone is part of God's spirit of love, some have just tuned out/squelched hearing God's love. 1dunno1 Nehcakpi I truly wish that we all could hear God's love and it would change those that have shut God out.

Alright, I finally read the story and although I personally believe in heaven, I think this Dr. is full of it. My guess is he knows he's gonna get caught up in the obummer care scam and plans on getting out while the getting is still good. Book promotion.

The existence of DMT IS proof of Heaven.

All the posts that use the word "just" indicate a prison-like condition
of the ego-consciousness. ( Including all the posts that
are reducing experience to something else. )

The trick is to let the prison walls of ego-consciousness dissolve and
realize that even dreams are something beyond our ego that interacts
with our ego causing it to expand,,, not to contract.

Most religions are describing an organic process- like a seed/nut that is
sown somewhere by the wind, which is then acted upon by outside
forces, like the sun and rain, causing the seed to crack open; letting
the growth and new life emerge.

Reductionism is like seeking shelter in the safety of the prison-walls, or
staying in the dormant condition of a nut.

RE: Neurosurgeon: Heaven is Real
Here's a question that always troubled me. I've been researching NDE's for years. I've watched just about every movie, documentary, and read any book I could find on the subject.

Why do the experiencers tend to give not a single f*ck about the ones left behind. Meaning you love your kids so much but when you die you could give two shits about them. NDE'ers seem to exhibit very selfish behavior in regards to wanting to come back to be with loved ones.

Speaking as an orphan (dad died when I was 20/mom when I was 29) and not having had a NDE, but instead feel that I had a moment of being surrounded by God's warm, all encompassing, unconditional love...you won't worry about your loved ones because you do know that this "meat suit", this hellish existence here on earth is just a flicker of the eye, that there is another plane of existence. All the crap we go through here on earth has some type of purpose, we are all connected. Just by my reading your post and responding, we are connected and the ripple effect may be minute right now, but it may cascade to a bigger effect.

The Irish have a saying "cry at a birth and rejoice at a funeral" for a child being born is about to start their arduous journey and the person who died has completed the journey.

So why would you worry about your loved ones if you knew what is awaiting them?

I have felt the presence of my parents many times, I talk to their memory/spirit, their love is still inside me, that never dies and their "meat suit" is no longing suffering on this plane of existence. Hugs

RE: Neurosurgeon: Heaven is Real
To me, what scares the f*ck out of me is this reincarnation stuff. So I die, my brain is erased, I have no recollection of my 2 daughters and I get put back in another flesh and bone suit. No recollection of the people I loved before.

If that's the case, why love anything? Shit really irritates me. I would love to just die, go to heaven and be with loved ones. But I tend to think that's not how it operates.

Or, perhaps it operates based on beliefs. Now to the naysayers about NDE's.

There's some simple things that can shut up the skeptics. There have been numerous cases where a deceased person saw a pair of shous on the hospital building. Or heard a conversation down the hall. There's more goin on here than just the brain or chemicals.

There is something keeping your heart beating right now and replacing 1 million cells per second. Are you doing that? Or is there something else that is giving you life?

I have read about NDEers and viewed videos about their experiences where they DID care about their family still in earthly life, and it was the main or only reason they chose to return to their earthly body. I have lost count of how many mothers and fathers were at the point of entering eternity but suddenly remembered their children and decided to return to them because they didn't want their children to grow up without a mother or father.

True Dat, there was a thread here a couple of days ago which dealt with this. It was that Nick Cage thread, but I can't find it. The poster had some really good insight on this meat puppet suit, anyone else find it?

There have also been cases of people who were blind from birth but during their near death experience they were able to see.

Its not supposed to be that way, the natural process of reincarnation, where we do retain memories of our former selves and loved ones here on Earth, or where ever, has been hijacked!!

Earth was conquered many millennia ago by nefarious off world forces!!

.

If it seeketh, expects, or demands worship, it is not divine!!

RE: Neurosurgeon: Heaven is Real
Near death experiences are not caused by DMT. Supposedly there is an amount of DMT that is released at the moment of death. If that is true it makes no difference since the brain is DEAD. It is comparable to an engine that has plenty of gas in the tank and combustion chamber but is turned off. It does nothing. The fuel has no effect because the engine is off/dead. This is similar to DMT in the brain when it is dead. The DMT can no more cause the dead brain to hallucinate than gasoline can cause an engine that is turned off to run.
