RE: Weird weather UK
Rofl more like 8cm, and even that is falling across peaks above 1000ft. Once again the papers make out like the UK has never seen snow before, and just because it's falling in April means 'Armageddon' is about to come.

Relax, get out a jumper, get some hot chocolate, and realise the hype is nonsense given we are now at the same solar phase as in September with us passing the Spring Equinox. Any snow that does accumulate will soon thaw given ground latency heating, not to mention the strength of the sun once the cold front moves on through.

The MetO are giving hail showers for Weds/Thurs. This in itself is a sign of the sun's strength seeing there'll be enough of it to cause convection over land. Mid-winter it works the other way around when the sea SSTs are warmer than the land.

Met Office to predict space weather

The UK's forecasting agency will branch out to studying distant layers of the atmosphere in an attempt to better understand the impact that the Sun's activity has on Earth.

RE: Weird weather UK
Severe weather wearning as temperatures plummet 20C

The Met Office has issued a severe weather warning as Britain braces itself for snow, with temperatures plummeting 20C in a week.
The forecast is a stark contract to temperatures last week, which saw a record-breaking highs of 23.6C in Aboyne, Aberdeenshire.

Today the very same town is expected to reach a chilly maximum of just 3C with heavy snow.

The majority of Scotland and northern England are also expected to see significant snowfall, with around 15cm predicted in some areas.

Forecasters expect frosty mornings and temperatures as low as -5C across Britain, with a “dusting” of snow reaching the Chilterns, Cotswolds and even the South Downs in Sussex.

The rest of the country could experience sleet, cold winds and rain as the bad weather blows in from Scandinavia.

Another wet weather front is expected next week, bringing yet more rain and the chance of one of the wettest Aprils on record, after the driest March for 59 years.

We are currently under a hosepipe ban too.......chuckle

Strange times are these in which we live when old and young are taught in falsehoods school. And the person that dares to tell the truth is called at once a lunatic and fool.

'Tornados' hits Rugby and Essex, residents claim

Suspected tornados have struck two areas of England damaging buildings and uprooting trees.

Residents in Rugby in Warwickshire said a tornado had "ripped a path" through their properties toppling a chimney stack and knocking down fences.

Meanwhile more than 100 miles away farm buildings were blown down killing 20 chickens near Halstead in Essex.

Police said it was amazing no-one had been hurt and advised drivers and pedestrians to watch out for debris.

Warwickshire Police said a number of homes had been damaged in the Wentworth Road area of Rugby. Essex Police said it had also received reports of wild weather on Wednesday afternoon.

Rugby resident Jamie Gray said the tornado had "ripped a path" through properties in Glebe Crescent.

The tornado is believed to have struck Rugby at about 18:00 BST.

Another tornado is reported to have swept through the hamlet of Whiteash Green in Essex at about 16:30 BST.

I bet it has to do with the weakening Gulf Stream.....

There's a story behind every person.
There's a reason why they're the way they are.
They aren't just like that because they want to.
Something in the past created them.
And sometimes it's impossible to fix them.
